Was funny when in first half he sent 3/4 balls in the same area - outside for throw in (close to where one of the managers usually is on the touchline) and Arsenal fans cheered

Some fans just like to hate on Onana even when we have a good game!
It doesn't matter. Are you suggesting we retain him as number 1 next year? The performance (even his) was much improved but he continually parries it into a dangerous area. Every single game he does it.

It absolutely has to happen. The guy is a walking nightmare. Has at least one huge blunder per game
If the choice was between him and whoever our most promising youth keeper is next year, I'd roll the dice on a youngster honestly.

He's just so, so shaky. You know exactly what you're going to get from him and it's not good. Vitek or Harrison or whoever - I genuinely think they'd do better, even if still not good enough.

Of course it won't happen, but it's just where I'm at with this keeper of ours. Man I was excited for him to come in, watching him in that CL final. Man, would I make a terrible scout.

I disagree. Onana is prone to some serious errors and in my view, should be replaced. However, Bayindir is certainly not that man.

Among our current keepers, he's the only sensible option. What we do in the summer is another matter. Hopefully that involves selling Onana for whatever we can get for him.

Definitely one to replace, can't keep palming balls into danger zones and his passing has not been as advertised.

Onana has saved penalties for us too. He's always been a better keeper than Bayindir.

There's no evidence of this. Bayandir has been more than reliable in limited appearances, especially in terms of box presence and and saving pens. Onana has been consistently erratic and unreliable since he's been here, hence all the negativity towards him in this thread. Its not personal, he's just not exhibited a shred of evidence that he was worth £47.2m or was remotely close to being good enough to start at a club like United.

I’d be up for calling that a very solid match from our keeper
Really? The you are lost!

He easily could have lost us the game with that terrible save at the end. Terrible distribution. Thw rest he did as you would expect any half decent professional goalie to deal with. His boxing when coming for balls is quite weak btw.

There's plenty of evidence. What has Bayindir ever achieved in his career? Onana performed pretty well this season from August up until maybe December. I'm not disputing that he is unreliable or erratic. I believe he should be sold.

However, the Arsenal FA Cup game, for Bayindir, is doing a lot of heavy lifting. His kicking in that game was appalling. How about the game against Spurs in the League Cup, where he was beaten directly from a corner?

We all want better, but putting your eggs in the Bayindir basket is not the one.

I can't believe in the 94th minute when it was played all the way back to him he just hoofed it straight to the arsenal defense. That was mine bogglingly stupid. I would drop him from the next match just for that nonsense. That was so infuriating

The issue here isn't that Bayandir should be a permanent Onana replacement, its that Onana is a liability who should't be starting at United when a capable backup evokes more confidence than the starter. The club should quietly usher Onana out this summer just as the likes of Bosnich, Barthez, and Roy Carroll were let go for better options.

Can we not just play Onana until the summer, then sell him? There's no chance he'll be sold anyway, to be honest. We'd have to take a big hit on the fee and that won't help our PSR situation. Perhaps a loan away, or spending the season as the number two. Just not sure if the budget will stretch that far.

I'm sure he will play all league games and Altay will play EL games (if/when fit).

I don't think Onana will be a PSR consideration given that selling two of Rashford, Garnacho, and Mainoo will has homegrown players, have the biggest impact on PSR relief.

I’d say a keeper is very high on the list. Striker, wb, no.10 and keeper. Surely we can sign four players

Quite possibly.

I'm sure we'll be looking to move Rashford on. I don't see Mainoo sold. Garnacho perhaps, but even then, I'm not sure he will be.

There were genuine concerns he parries shots into the danger zone at Inter too. This is just who he is

Unreliable. Get Altay in there as soon as he's fit.

I personally have never seen it with Onana. The priority for any goal keeper is at first to be good a saving shots it's in the position job description. Playing out from the back should never be a priority to sign a keeper in a team that doesn't keep possession succinctly.

I would sell Onana in an instant if a team is interested in his services.
