Again, not true. One is viewed through a United lense. The other is not. If you're average/poor at United, you are derided as a Championship player. Henderson is no better.

Not a chance. If Henderson and Onana were both offered to United today on the same terms, transfer and wages, we would be fools to go with Onana.

Can and should we do better than either Henderson and Onana? Of course, but that's a different issue. But I do agree that we're stuck with Onana through the duration of his contract and that we have limited resources and have to address other areas first. And beyond that, Onana has shown glimpses of competence. We might just a whole season of competence out of him next season.

Why would we be fools? One of them has completely surpassed the other in terms of their careers to date. Why are we pretending that Henderson is something he isn't? Neither are good enough.

I don't blame the fanbase for foolishly bringing in Onana, but those who made that decision foolishly decided to bring him in. He had one great game for Inter and that was it and we spent 50m in transfer fee and his wages since then for a keeper who is no better than Henderson. Which is not to say that Henderson is world class...it is only to say that we have a keeper now who is no better than the keeper we already had in Henderson.

Whether or not you like the guy or rate the scouting department the likely hood of that being true is zero.

We made the right decision to sell Henderson and the right decision to ditch De Gea. We made the wrong decision by signing Onana.

It's just bizarre that Henderson is being used as some stick to beat Onana with. It's Henderson. They are a similar age and Onana has had the much better career to date.
Well yeah...he's been first choice at better sides. But let's not rewrite history, he's got a few cups, a Dutch league or two and a CL runners up trophy. He's hardly ederson in terms of achievements.

If you had to choose between Henderson and Onana right now, it's Henderson without question. And as you say, Henderson is painfully average.

Like I say, both are average. Neither are needed here.

The one great game captured global attention. Before that game Onana was undoubtedly appreciated by his previous clubs, Ajax and Inter, but wasn’t in the conversation for clubs of United’s stature.

Or perhaps I just say, United’s previous stature. Ridiculous signings like Sancho, Antony and Onana have contributed to our current lamentable status, like some of the movie theaters in Hollywood that once attracted the likes of Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe but now show movies such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Pink Flamingos.

I don’t watch Fiorentina but apparently Dr Gea has been fantastic for them. Henderson has been excellent this season for Palace.

As for Onana, I know of no one who argues United got it right by bringing him in. He’s one of the first babes that consistently comes up as a player who needs to shipped to another club, for obvious reasons.
