Great to see this. But under no circumstances shoud we play him unless he's absolutely 100% fit.

If he's had a few days of full training without any reaction then I don't see why he couldn't be subbed on for 10 mins at the end of the game. Worst case of it goes to extra time he's played 40 mins with 2 breaks, I'm sure he's already doing more than that in training.

I am going for the 2nd leg vs Lyon so fingers crossed hopefully I can watch him live for 20 mins. But it appears the best bet is first leg of Semi.

I'd say more 2nd leg of the SF if we get there, looke like he's at the initial stages of recovery.
Yeah it'll take another few weeks at least and that takes it to May. Basically if we do go through against Lyon then we can hope Amad to help us in Europa. If not, at least he'll be around for final games of league season so we'll see where Amorim plays him, Garnacho, Bruno, Mount etc.

If we don't get to EL semis it doesn't mean much. League is irrelevant results wise.
We have decent chance of reaching semis without him.

Semis aren't until 1st May so we have 3 weeks to get him fit and ready.

I just don't want to see Garnacho again ruining every promising attack, he's only ever of use as an impact sub.

Feels like Garnacho and Hojlund have had about ten chances between them over the last couple of matches which Amad would 100% have scored. That's without even taking into account his ability to create goalscoring chances for himself and others.

You can see there will be a dangerous temptation to play him as soon as possible.

Back on grass.

Required urgently. Almost zero quality amongst our forwards without him.

If he’s only just back training on grass then would expect another couple of weeks before he can play.
If we get through tomorrow he could maybe even start the first leg of the semi final.

Exactly - unsure why folks here are setting themselves up for disappointment with expectations like him playing this week.

I don't even know that he's back on grass yet

He's been a huge miss for us. Getting him back before the end of the season would be a huge bonus.

Both Garnacho at 10 and Dalot at RWB haven't done anything to cement their places for when Amad is fit

Essential we rush him back, he’s needed.

I think it'll probably be Amad and Garnacho/Mainoo/Bruno in the 10s. Dalot has been much improved over the last few weeks.

Amad with at low fitness is a huge risk. he's can easily pull a muscle. He's not coming on the pitch and save himself. For 10-20 minutes if we chase the goal against lyon for sure.

Doubt he'll play lots before the start of May. Will start slowly like Shaw, Mount too i'd guess.

Must be close now - already doing individual training - the last step before joining the main group.

Doubt he'll be on the bench. Amorim has been quite cautious when bringing injured players back, so different to Eth. But hopefully we go through and he can play in the next round.

If we can get this guy back for the semis and keep him back we could really do this.

I think the situation is different, Amorim is bringing back players that haven't played in over 12 months (Shaw, Mount). I think with Amad it's not a case of confidence or rustiness.

Not even his return will change anything. The problem is the manager. Save him if he isn't 100% fit.
