Didn't notice him that much tbh, but great pen
So aware and composed.Such intelligent player, his decision making and passing option are always on point. Only 21 and still has so much to develop.
His main asset is the way when he carries the ball, the opposition defensive line drops back and it eases pressure on the rest of the team.Brings calmness and control to the team. He's a great outlet too, you know you can give him the ball and he won't lose it.
If Amad can stay injury free and continue his run in the team I can see him becoming world class.
An absolute joy to watch.
He’s surprisingly good in the air despite his size.I love it when he goes hunting for headers he has no business of winning.
So Saka isn’t world class either then. It’s always been a meaningless term because everyone defined it differently.Depends on the definition. World Class, for me, is a player that could get in any team in the world.
The best right forward in the league is Salah, followed by Saka.
I think Amad has a way to go to get anywhere near that level.
I think you’re overating Saka, I 100% belive Amad has the potential to reach a higher celling than Saka. Saka got a team built around him at the moment. If Amad can just get a striker to play off and another threat on the left side we’ll see next level Amad.Depends on the definition. World Class, for me, is a player that could get in any team in the world.

There has to be something deceptive in his stride pattern that he keeps getting the drop on players he’s closing down. Practically every game he plays he’s run down a defender who thought he was clear only to find Amad breathing down his neck or nipping across him and winning the ball. Amad looks moderate in terms of speed, but there has to be something in his acceleration that is constantly catching opponents off guard. It’s fascinating to watch.

Yeah, can see how that could be the case. It happens too frequently to be some kind of coincidence. Very interesting to watch.I think it's timing coupled with great anticipation. You'll see him start to accelerate, just as the defenders about to take a touch and that automatically amplifies the pressure.
And he doesn't fully commit until that exact moment, so they can't sell him a dummy too easily as he's got time to change direction.
Saka is a huge level above where Amad is right now, that's not even a debate.I don't think Amad is far from Sakas level. Saka has played in a much better and more solid team. Amad is also only breaking through as a starter recently, he wasn't that under Ten Hag. Amorim is the one who's put the faith in him.
In the premier league only;
Amad has played 1235 minutes in the league, with 9 g/a averaging a G/A every 137 minutes.
Saka has played 1276 in the league with 15 g/a averaging a G/A every 85 minutes. However if you take out the assists he gets from corners (as Amad doesn't take them) he's on 10 g/a so averaging every 127.
I don't think Saka is miles ahead of Amad at all.
He's not that far ahead in terms of form but Saka's been consistently excellent over multiple seasons so I can see what you're saying.Saka is a huge level above where Amad is right now, that's not even a debate.
That's not to say Amad won't get to a similar level, but he's no where near yet.
Yeah I think his initial burst is really quick, then I guess his stride length probably limits his top speed compared to the fast players over longer distances. Maybe also being low to the ground/light allows him to change direction/adjust quickly when pressing - Barca back in the day had load of players I don't think we'd think of as rapid but they were amazing at harrying opponents/pressing even when the opponent was bigger, stronger, faster than them. There has to be something deceptive in his stride pattern that he keeps getting the drop on players he’s closing down. Liverpool. Arguably Spain / Barcelona tooWhich team wouldn't Saka get into?
I always thought world class for me was generally a player that's in the conversation for best in the world at his position. So somewhere like a T3 in the world type ranking at whatever position. So Saka isn’t world class either then. It’s always been a meaningless term because everyone defined it differently.
