Not that bothered about today’s decision, as it resulted in an iconic image, but the booking for taking your shirt off rule has got to be a contender for dumbest rule ever dreamt up by the stupid old men who run football.

Yes, think of the Giggsy goal, it's art, iconic and emotion in football coming out yet they want to book players for it.

I hope this gets him more play time. I really like him as a player

Good performance today.
Definitely not a starter, but for sure a viable and reliable sub option now. Ten Hag has another good option off the bench and that's all that counts right now. :) Love Ten Hag's willingness to introduce young Academy players.

Always think it sucks that you can get a yellow for celebrating a goal.

Not just a goal. A goal at the death of extra time in the QF of the FA Cup in the Stretford End against your biggest rival to win it. Refs need to read the room on those. Not like it was at Anfield and he taunted scousers.

And don't want to hear it is "by the book" if ref went by the book Mac Allister would have been off

I think he can play as a 10 or off left as a creative winger. He will function bezter in a side that plays short intricate passes.

Nah. The rule is that you get a yellow when you take your shirt off. The referee really has no choice there. There is no interpretation off that situation. It is easy. Take off the shirt, you get a yellow. If the referee doesnt give a yellow card he will be facing problems from his boss.

I meant to post at the beginning of ET that Diallo could be our wild card. He was actually finding a lot of space but he wasn't getting the ball much.

I think he looks more one to utilise against the more technical teams as he's so tiny and slim, the bigger defenders may just muscle him off the ball

I hope his goal gives ETH enough faith in him to give him more opportunities

Whether he makes it here or not he can always look back at that goal, a late winner against our biggest rivals

Bookings for removing shirts should only apply if there's an offensive message on a shirt underneath, just add the time it takes to put it back on (minimal in his case) on as stoppage time, he was so caught up in the delight of scoring the winner, let him have his moment

Did he get to come back onto the pitch for the applause from the fans at the end? (My Liverpool supporting OH had turned it off in disgust :D

What a moment for him, took the goal so well. Will hopefully get some more game etime between now and the end of the season.

Surely earned some minutes when back form suspension. Looked composed and willing to put in a shift. Would honestly like to see both him, Mount and Antony used more late in matches during the run in. We lacked so much energy in the second half, having 3 players that can at least inject some of that seems really important.

After he's served his suspension can we actually start him for a game now? Been saying for ages he could bring the intensity and enthusiasm to actually play for the club that Mainoo, Garnacho and Hojlund have all brought this season.

Nothing against Forson, but I'll never understand how he was ahead of Amad in the pecking order this season.

What a proper player. Definitely need to play more minutes.

We bitch about our players who can't or want to keep the ball. Treating the ball like it's some hot potato.

Amad isn't one of them.

Btw anyone still doubt about his speed? He has it in his locker but just doesn't use it unless it's needed. And in this case keeping up with garnacho

Silly how little game time he's had, should be ahead of Antony nevermind Forson

The stereotype is that he's too lightweight but it's nonsense, he was pressing and doing his bit defensively

Been a huge fan of his ever since I first watched him play for our under 18's. He's been mismanaged. He has huge potential. Should be on that Mainoo, Garnacho, Højlund pedestal. Delighted for him.
He will be.

Ten Hag will give him that opportunity. We have a nice young 1st team core cooking here. Wether Ten Hag gets to see it fulllfill its potential is to be seen.

So he’s slow and lacks strength? Looked quite fast to me, and he has a low centre of gravity which makes him hard to disposess. Also looks a very clever player.

These young players might save his United managerial career and Amad could be a world beater because he’s not a typical winger or an inverted striker, he’s more like a 8/10/RWS hybrid, clever quick understands the game and just needs more minutes.

I imagine he's been watching Garnacho and seeing how his much improved effort off the ball has won him a starting position. Earlier in the season Amad had a couple of cameos and looked quite lazy, and wasn't pulling his weight. Recently when he's come on, he's put in a lot more effort, and has done his bit going backwards as well as forwards. That's why he's getting opportunities, and if he keeps it up he'll get a lot more playing time.

The goal gets better the longer you look at it. The subtle dummy. The rolled pinpoint finish.

The kid has ice in his veins.

Personally I think he's been managed quite well over the last couple of seasons. He had a great loan at Sunderland and this season has been challenged to take another step up to the next level here, a challenge that he's starting to rise to.

He hasn't had much game time because when he was given opportunities earlier in the season he wasn't putting in the required effort, particularly off the ball, and then injuries extended his absence.

He's had opportunities recently and has looked a completely different player; pressing, harrying, tracking back, and generally working hard. That attitude will earn him plenty of opportunities, just like we've seen Garnacho earn a starting space after improving his level of effort.

Really considered response. I too think he has been managed well for a change and not thrown out in the deep end too quickly.

Already showed he's a cold finisher with a silky touch when he scored against Milan and same today.

Needs to play, hopefully under a new manager.

He was fantastic when he came on today. Not just the goal which was obvious, but loved his workrate and energy. Deserves more game time for the rest of the season.

The goal was excellent because it was not a great pass from Garnacho. He played it too early and pushed Amad slightly too wide. The finish was probably the only place where the keeper couldn't save it.
