Rossi is a great talent and Villareal will be laughing hard.
Not really. Even if we buy Tevez. Quartet of Rooney, Tevez, Saha and Rossi would get enough games among themselves, especially given Saha's injury woes. Don't think Ole would feature much in coming season other than in last 5 mins appearances or in cup games.Agreed. This is a last pre-season deja vu at the Caf after Ruud was sold. People wanted Rooney to continue setting the stage alight, Rossi to get first team football, Ole to feature, Saha to continue from where he left off, etc, etc
Classic case again of having one's cake...
Forlan.....Oh yeah, like all those other players who have left OT, and whose career has skyrocketed upwards afterwards... like... erm...
Exactly!. Like Sherlock Holmes he alone sees teh reason behind thsi decision. All will be revealed soon hopefully....Wait with comments Chief.
SAF is not stupid.
No one is panicking. We are just pointing out the blatant fact Tevez is not secured, Smith is leaving too, Rossi is sold and Rooney is our only fit and proven striker going into the start of the new season. What happens if he gets injured before we secure Tevez? If we have Tevez there is no reason to panic, even if Smith goes.
Forlan.....
this is a saddest joke
RVN won Madrid their first title in over four years as well, and Becks of course helped them with their wealth.
really spend 30 mil quid on tevez and sell rossi ...brilliant , i hope we dont fecking get tevez and whoever is behind that learns the fecking lesson
fecks sake the stupidest thing that could possibly happen

oh please. how old were they then?
I think he probably knows.Has it actually dawned on Fergie that at this moment he's facing the whole season with just Wayne Rooney, and a couple of injury prone players, who are injured, as front men?
It what person's mind is this a good idea?
Great
We were short on strikers last season. To solve this, we're selling two of them without having brought anyone in
Good move that. Certainly wont be likely to feck us over in any way

Yes, aside from the muppetry, I recall people being concerned that we were short of numbers up front. It was mainly dismissed as sillyness
Then, in January, Ferguson brought in Larrson, due to us being so short of numbers up front.
Now we have the same situation again, except with less players, and more injuries.
I wonder what will be likely to happen here

Well, it's unlikely that it's going to work. He might consider doing something about it, such as waiting until he's got someone in, before selling our only two other strikers
We're struggling for numbers in the Reading game already. When you've got that problem before any games have even been played, it's probably worth thinking about a bit more
I think most of United fans would choose Rossi over Smith. The latter has hardly made any impact while playing for us heart and effort only takes you so far. At the end of the day he is just not good enough to play for us.Yes, that was when Smith was injured. He returned and filled in the Larsson back-up void
You'd have sold Smith ahead of Rossi? It too would've been a risk. Rossi isn't proven in the Premiership
We are probably going to play a withdrawn forward even in league games as opposed to the Europe/Top league teams discussed previously. It leaves Scholes, Rooney, Anderson, Tevez and even Giggs for that role along with Rooney, Saha, Smith and Tevez for the striker's role
Look man, nobodys happy about this but it does not justify hoping for the Tevez deal to collapse, turn off your pc for a couple of hours and cool off man.
Do you support United or Giuseppe Rossi??
Smith is in talks with Newcastle and Boro. Two teams that are offering him first team football. It's pretty obvious he will choose first team football over our bench. You can't cite Tevez is not secured and then state Smith is leaving. Until Smith actually leaves, he's still on the books.

And it is not like we are only going to buy players who are proven in PL. And how can you expect Rossi to prove himself in PL without giving him a chance?
If we don't get Tevez, I reckon Fergie will play Rooney and Ronaldo upfront for quite a few games with Nani on the wings....
