Alexis Sanchez | Staying at Arsenal after City deal falls apart

I really hope this doesn't materialise. Like RVP, he will make the difference between a point and three points. City can afford to keep the likes of sane on the bench no problem. They'll be formidable in attack and may get away with having a shoddy defence in the league but not UCL. A swap deal including Sterling (who I think is highly overrated and won't hit the heights anywhere he goes) is a good deal for City only. If I was arsenal I would be asking for Sane or silva otherwise no deal.

Arsenal are becoming a pain in the arse to themselves and to rivals.

Sanchez is an RvP-esque signing that could win the league for City. Can only hope Pep ruins him by playing him as an inverted-fullback-quartermeister-whatever-thingy.
Only he'll discover Manchester isn't London then he'll want out

What happened to the Sanchez who only wanted to stay in London? Big Ben's silence must've been traumatic for him.

Yet again selling their best player to a rival. It's quite apt that they lack bollocks off the pitch as well as on it.

Not doing everything in our power to secure his signature next summer would be irresponsible. One of the best players in the league available on a free? This should be a no brainer really. Of course the question is mainly if we can beat the competition to sign him.

Sanchez wanted London because he was dating that really hot Chilean model/pageant Queensland at the time. Now the guy is in love with his dogs and I'm sure he doesn't really care as long as he's got chances to win trophies.

We are literaly sitting calm, watching a left winger joining our rivals?
He will make the difference, just like RVP did. If we let this happen and don´t win the league, it´s the biggest mistake since letting Pog go.

'City will walk the league after this'. City have issues, but none of them are in attack. If Kompany gets injured, they are back to square one. But this is utterly stupid from Arsenal and Wenger. Haven't they learned anything after the RVP deal?

If I were Wenger, I'd tell Sanchez to either stay or feck off outside England.

Why can't people grasp that maybe Sanchez simply doesn't want to join us and has privately made that clear to us.

Smalling is worth 30m in this market. Why would we pay 80m for a player in his last year of contract? That just strikes me as a little too desperate and reckless.
And in this market Sanchez isn't far off that valuation. Buying the best or one of the best players in the league is far from desperate or reckless.

plenty of dogs in Manchester

He really isn't a left winger.
Secondly, I think we would have a good idea if he wants to join us or not.

Alexis & Co. telling people he'll sign for City this week. Up to City to reach deal with Arsenal. Could be just cash

What about Pereira, Lingard, £30m and Paddy Crerand on loan for commentary?

Any team Sanchez joins in the top 4 will win the league. He's that good. He's miles better than Griezmann or Bale. Sanchez is a proven goalscorer in the PL with the tenacity of Carlos Tevez.

I cannot believe Woodward is sitting out on this one but would rather chase ghost players like Bale and Perisic for months. Sanchez is the real deal. Sir Alex Ferguson would be making several phone calls to Arsenal FC by now if he's still our manager.

Arsenal are a business not a football team. If a high enough bid comes in, they don't care if it's from a direct rival or not. Stupid really because eventually selling to your rivals will also impact the profitability of the business (no CL, lack of trophies etc).

I just don't get the city link
Aguero, jesus, sane, stirling, silva, silva, De bruyne... Surely if city are going to spend more money it's on a defender or a defensive midfielder

Sanchez is the perfect Pep CB though; Strong, quick, good on the ball and can't defend for shite.

That would be too mainstream. Too human for the godly Pep Guardiola.

That's a weird demand to make, like we'd be able to control how much game time he gets at another club?

we've been doing that with our loans lately. Basically, benching cuts into the economic package.
