Alexis Sanchez | Staying at Arsenal after City deal falls apart

I dont get that when he first came to england he wanted to live in london, now all of sudden he would like to come to manchester. I hate the fact we settled for di maria than sanchez that summer.

Arsenal had CL football that summer and we didn't. We did quite well in that window getting Shaw, Herrera, Di Maria, Falcao and Blind. Too bad Falcao sucked and Di Maria turned king cnut.

Even if he is not comming here we must make a big big bid in order to raise the price for city to like 80 - 90 m.

If he goes to City, Aguero is definitely finished there. If I was Wenger I'd be demanding Aguero in a swap deal.

We weren't in the CL that season.

How many players have City signed this summer? I've lost track. Sanchez going to City would definitely make them favorites for the title.
B.Silva, Danilo, Mendy, Walker, Ederson, Luiz.

They will probably bring in Evans and Sanchez as well. Granted that team needs to gel but they had a very good transfer window, we can't deny that. Pep will eventually get that team right.

Aguero would have to want the move too. He could go anywhere in world football, he wouldn't choose Arsenal. This isn't football manager.

For sure. I know stats can be misleading but the current front 6 (Aguero, Jesus, Sane, Sterling, Silva, De Bruyne) scored 53 league goals last season just one less than our whole team did. Add Sanchez who managed 24 league goals and 10 assists their attack would be frightening. Much better full backs and a slightly better Keeper this year also, I reckon Pep would deserve the sack if they couldn't win the league with Sanchez added.

Apparently he wasn't happy at being dropped on the weekend and even he knows it's getting difficult to convince Guardiola he's the main man. When you're getting dropped for G Jesus and Sanchez could be on the way, you have to be getting worried about game time. Someone will have to be sacrificed for Sanchez and the most likely one is Aguero.

I really think City will indeed walk the league if they get him despite what many of you think
Many thought City would walk the league last season. They are improved with their signings and no doubt Sanchez would be a boost. I guess Wenger is still upset over us selling him Welbeck.

Granted but he will have no interest in going to Arsenal. He is 30 now, he'll want to start winning big throphies.

The problem is Defense wins titles, and attack wins games. Epl teams dont get rolled over very eaisily. They can still score vs city and make a game out of it Which is where a posession based team falls short in epl.

Genuinely think he'd choose United over Arsenal if he genuinely was unhappy and wanted out!

Even my grandma could

To think they'd basically toss Sterling on the scrap heap already.

You've fulfilled your job pal, you've given us a homegrown player for a couple of years when we needed some. Cheers, bye.

John Stones will be thrilled.

Sanchez who doesn't want to move to Manchester and prefers London the reason why he moved to Arsenal now wants to go to City? Does he know City is based in Manchester?

London was only one of the reason. He wanted a team playing in CL.

Raheem Sterling is not going anywhere, nor did Manchester City offer him up. This has all come from Arsenal to distract their fans from the fact that they are selling Alexis Sanchez.

Think the Sterling factor could get this deal through, Arsenal will be chuffed with Walcott mk2.

City really are the epitome of what's wrong with football aren't they.
Tbh I find this opinion quite hilariously hypocritical. United aren't exactly the epitome of transfer dealings.
Even though he's worth it in today's market, signing Pogba for a world record fee considering we had him a few years back wasn't great business.

Fwiw Sanchez is a matchwinner and if City get him then they will be favourites for the title.

I would pass on Alexis and go for Griezmann next Summer. Much younger and has an higher ceiling.

What do you think Sterling is worth? Seriously, in today's hyper-inflated market. What do you reckon?

He's 22, home-grown, England regular and has a great record and will only get better. City paid £50m+ for him only 2 seasons ago, and prices have not exactly gone down since then. In my estimation, he's worth £70m - £80m.

Do you *honestly* in all seriousness, think that City would offer Sterling *plus* cash, in return for a 29-year old Sanchez who is out of contract and can leave on a free in 12 months??? Seriously?

This is quite THE most stupid rumour in the history of transfer rumours. Absolutely the square-root of minus infinity that City have *offered* Sterling in PX for Sanchez. It is pure fabrication by a news-starved media, end of. More fool anyone who exercised a single brain cell in believing it.

Yeah, kinda like what I was saying about Liverpool and Coutinho. If I were Klopp, I'd demand Messi in exchange.

Sky Sports saying it'll be:

Sterling to Arsenal
Sanchez + cash to M.City

Ie Arsenal PAYING City on top!!!

Sanchez could well be the most overrated player in the world atm.
Holy crap some of these posts...

SkySports are now reporting Arsenal are offering cash + Sanchez for Sterling. There is no chance it happens, I refuse to believe Pep has such a hard-on for Sanchez that he'd let Sterling go, and that the board would sanction it too.

Don't think Sterling would agree. Leave a rampaging team that would probably win the league and join a team in doldrums which would struggle to be in top 4.

So we've gone from this morning's report of City offering Sterling & cash for Sanchez only for Arsenal to reply and say..no no, we'll offer you cash & Sanchez for Sterling. What have I missed?
