Alexis Sanchez | Staying at Arsenal after City deal falls apart

But what if we are offering 50m and the others are offering 30m?

Sacrificing the equivalent of 5% of revenue to avoid media ire, an entire squadron of "Wenger Out!" aeroplanes continuously circling the Emirates and ArsenalFanTV apoplexy? Seems a small price to pay.

Tbh Arsenal still owe us a player for stealing both Silvestre and Welbeck.

If Sanchez wants to stay in the Premier league he can refuse offers from other clubs, and Arsenal would be in a situation of selling or letting him go for free.

They'll sell to the highest bidder. Forget all of that. It's Arsenal. They don't care.

Isn't it possible that Sanchez is seen as a replacement for Hazard?

It's hard to see Arsenal selling to Chelsea but it's obvious Sanchez wants to go. He would've signed a new deal by now if he wanted to stay.
Or we're chasing after players like Sanchez/Sandro who fit Hazard's style of play so we can keep him?

We have very few players that are on Hazard's wavelength. Cesc, Drogba & Pedro probably the only players ever since Mata left. Sandro & Sanchez would be a brilliant start.

Has a bit of an attitude problem. Constantly gesturing to his teammates and telling them off.

He is a wonderful player. Great workrate and some of his passes were fantastic. Add to that, he doesn't struggle for confidence- a couple of sublime touches and backheels

Yeah, I'm reluctant to agree with either of you. I thought he was good but not great. He nearly got his team in trouble losing the ball and was playing too deep.

It wasnt his best game by any means, but he is a threat and a quality player. If Jose is targeting experienced players in their prime we should go all out for him. Would easily walk into our team and improve us in the final third

Agree. Think he worked hard as per usual, inspired better than average performances from his teammates through his ability and leadership. Contributed well at times, but made a few risky mistakes in crucial areas. Performed at a decent level, 6.5/10.

I'd love him here. He's lacking a bit of motivation at Arsenal but is a fantastic player.

Would be a brilliant addition to our team. Feel as though he would be a very well fitting addition too. Would help speed up our play, assist with becoming more penetrative, and his overall contribution is significant. Not to mention he is a brilliant finisher, who could really help improve our at times woeful finishing.

He's a winner. He looks around him and sees average players going through the motions. I'd lack motivation playing every week with Giroud, Wellbeck, Walcott and co.

Spot on. Think its evident with the passion he displays and the way he interacts with teammates.

He has a deep desire to win, like all footballers obviously, but he does seem more motivated than most. Very driven and very frustrated.

Has a personality like Pogba and Ibra. Strikes fear into the opposition. Happened at Anfield a few weeks ago when he came on at half time. Liverpool immediately dropped back 20 metres and were s*it scared. If we want to compete we need players like this in their pomp.

That is true, he does indeed invoke fear in the opposition. He would provide us with another player who is genuinely world class, which is what is required to compete at the highest level. One of the top players in the league. One of the best in his position in the world. Feel as though he would thrive for us.

@Phil Jones 79 Don't get me wrong, I would easily have Sanchez at United, but today I thought he was really wasteful.

He was wasteful in some situations, but also created chances and opportunities. Ozil should have scored in the first half when he was put through. Give me a wide man who plays like this over any of our wide men any day of the week.

How does he compare to others at his age? It could be concerning. Will he drop off a cliff once he hits 30? He's a physical freak for the most part, but the tweet seems to make it sound like an incredible toll of games. I'll try see what I find.

Edit: eh. First two I found was Ozil at the same age on around 550, and Fabregas a year older at 686. Miki falls quite behind on 390. Di Maria 525.

Seems like he's on the higher side of players his age.

Take it we're not interested/on his radar, then.

Something about him I really don't like so won't be upset if we don't get him. But much rather Bayern or PSG get him than Chelsea. Look at Conte go.

Was clear as day that Chelsea and PSG would be in for him. Will be interestting to see where he will end up. Some also speculated Bayern could be a possible destination, but i doubt it

Would make sense, but it seems Carlo has settled on James this summer and that we will get Brandt the summer after that one.

Really? Did he say something? Thought Isco was the more likely to join Munich.

He wont be cheap. I also never thought Ancelotti was a huge James fan. But i am sure he will be a success for Bayern.

Honestly why would we want him? His attitude has been shocking at times and i think he believes he is too good for Arsenal. We're about on par with Arsenal! A) I bet he thinks he's too good for us and B) Why would we bring this sort of character into a squad that has been having it's own issues for the past 3 years? It's another Di Maria waiting to happen.
