Very nice signing for arse . No doubt he'll be rubbish now.
Arsenal don't ruin players as much as Spurs sadly.
He could throw up a surprise but I think it will be business as usual for them 4-2-3-1 the players they have signed all lean towards that system. He could go 4-3-3 but his holding players would have to adapt. The thing about Jose is he is the funking best at being predictable. Not to derail the thread but just like you I don't see the hype around Diego Costa. Good striker yes but certainly not the type of player I hear people talking about like he's the best there is. I anxiously await to see what system Jose employs with him.
It'll be nice to have a South American who's not a total shithouse.
That's got me thinking, who was Arsenal's last South American player?

We had the fat left back who will remain nameless, and Denilson. Our last decent one was Gilberto.
I can't think of any English club that's had a lot of South Americans.Fantastic signing. Another signing, much like Ozil, where he doesn't exactly fill the the obvious gap that needs filling, but he's much too good to pass up.
I feel sorry for him. The only thing he won in his time at Arsenal was RvP's jersey at OT.We had the fat left back who will remain nameless, and Denilson. Our last decent one was Gilberto.

I dont understand why he would go to Arsenal tbh, he wont win anything important there and will be stuck in 4th position his whole time at Arsenal.
I'm sure he could go to a much better club than Arsenal but if they pull the deal off then it's a very good signing for them.
What does this mean for Theo Walcott?
How does a club like Arsenal get back to winning major trophies if they don't sign the best/top players? Should they just sit around on their money and allow all the good players to sign for other clubs?
This thought process baffles me to be honest.
He really pissed me off at WHL - nearly cost us the game, got hauled off eventually, then acted the hero jumping into the crowd at the end. Posing twat.We can't sell Podolski. That's immoral. Who's going to take the selfies and slag off Tottenham on twitter?

People are still banging on about Wenger's 'youth experiment' and 'reluctance to spend' when it's now proven beyond all reasonable doubt that he didn't spend because he didn't have the forking money. This is the thought process that so many people adhere too. I had a similar comment said to me at work today. It also baffles me.
Yep I think Poldi's days are numbered. He's put in a decent shift but I can see him going back to Germany..10-12M perhaps?
I suspect Wenger will convert Sanchez into a Henry type, with freedom to roam across the front line so it could be curtains for Walcott's striker ambitions.
This signing sends out a clear statement that the Ozil transfer wasn't just a one off. Wenger is loosening the purse strings at last.
Arsenal will challenge if they can stay injury free, no doubt about that.

Is that a Royal Enfield Bullet in the background?!!!
How does it baffle you? if i'm a top player i wouldn't look at Arsenal if i had other offers from better teams. This has nothing to do with Arsenal more to do with Sanchez picking them over winning clubs right now. Yes thats how Arsenal get back to winning by signing top players but my question was why would Sanchez pick them over other teams that are winning league titles now?How does a club like Arsenal get back to winning major trophies if they don't sign the best/top players? Vela and Campbell probably don't count if they're Central Americans. And don't forget that enormous Brazilian number 10 that came on loan.Gilberto was our last quality one, what we would do for another Gilberto right now. Vela has become a quality player, but that's after he moved on for game-time.
Joel Campbell is on the books currently and I'd like to see what he can do in England.
How are they not central Americans..?Vela and Campbell probably don't count as Central Americans. And don't forget that enormous Brazilian number 10 that came on loan.
I missed a comma. They don't count as South Americans as they're Central Americans. How are they not central Americans..?
Those four goals against LiverpoolJulio 'the beast' Baptista
