This seems weird. Ferguson talked about signing another player if he became available, yet this guy was hardly sought after by top clubs (not doubting Ferguson, I'm excited about this signing). Which in turn makes me think whether Ferguson was talking about someone else, since I highly doubt there were tough circumstances regarding this deal.
