It's stupid. Even Mainoo they want to sell, give the kids some time. Home grown talent at the age of Rashford we can talk about selling if they perform like he does but not 19 and 20 year old players with significant potential, just because they are having a not so great season at a time whew the club is in complete turmoil.
+ 2 massive chances missed more than Amad.
Plus the rest of the team is bent out of shape trying to accommodate him and his need to stay wide in order to be effective.

Nah, he's definitely not. Amad and Garnacho are the only players on the pitch who have looked anything like scoring.

Yes but he's allso not triple marked like Amad is everytime and the play never goes down the right so he's afforded far less of the ball since we build so heavily down the left in general

He also doesn't create much. Diallo is an actual danger. Garnacho runs fast.
The best chance of the game for us where Garnacho hit the post was made by Amad out of nothing.
When Garnacho has the ball in the same position on the left hand side he doesn't create anything. Either cuts in and has an attempt at goal or passes it back to the left back or back central to Bruno.
He runs about a lot giving the illusion that he is creating danger. Sort of like a slim Adama Traore but less effective.

Unfortunately our fans are obsessed with players that look like they do a lot, not the players that actually do a lot.
Some people on here have said he was having a good performance. I do wonder if they remember watching us when we had actual wingers, or watch any other teams other than United.

Amad has earned the right to have a poor game or two with the clutch moments this season.
Showed his best traits tonight, but also showed one of his major weaknesses.
Absurd, it really is. I've been in disbelief this whole time. Amad Mainoo and Garnacho are what United are about, quality young players we nurture. All of them seem happy and work their socks off.
Those 3 should be untouchable along with Bruno and Yoro. Everyone else is a different degree of sellable.

People freaking out when a 20 year old winger is having some bad luck with finishing is some of the dumbest shit I've ever seen. Hope we don't sell him, but unfortunately the people in charge seem like they're dumb as feck too (or just our finances are deep in the shit that they have little choice but to sell him which would again, be a huge shame). Selling a top prospect to a rival because we've thrown away too much money on mediocre players. Ugh.

Giving young players the message that they are 'untouchable' is entirely wrong. They should go out and earn the right to play and stay at the club every game.
We don't want to instil a culture of complacency.

He isn't a 20-goal-a-season player, just because he has a relatively good level of ability for a 20 y/o does not guarantee in any way that he will progress massively.
Cole Palmer barely played for City. We have seen A LOT of Garnacho.
He could still go on to be great, but I think considering he doesn’t fit our system and we need the cash, then we should sell at an offer we can’t refuse
