Januzaj was a better player but got too big for his boots and wanted a massive contract. Technically he had much better ability than Gernacho. But was a different type of attacker.
I hope it person to bed this nonsense that Amroim doesnt want himGarnacho starting.
I think he’s got a great mentality. He won’t get in his head after missed chances ala Rashford. He goes again and again and doesn’t give up. I think he’s decent technically without being outstanding. His pace obviously and he’s shown some lovely finishing in his time, although that appears to have been lacking recently.I'd be genuinely curious what attributes you think he has exhibited that make him a player that we should be worried about losing?
He's hopefully starting his last match, probably won't play too long to save him from injury.

Did I say we shouldn’t sell him? No honey I didn’t.Why? He'll just get lost amogst the other hundred or so wingers they already have.
He's not kicked as hoped, doesn't fit in the formation but we still shouldn't sell him
I’m less focused on the system honestly or how Garnacho does or doesn’t fit, and more so just approaching it as “we have to sell someone, and might be selling a young player who isn’t all that good yet at his peak value”. Maybe he turns into a world beater, or maybe we buy like crap with the new funds. Both would suck.More likely he’s the new Welbeck and scores every time he faces us.
I can’t let go of the thought this wingbacks system is not the way United should play. It’s going to take 2-3 years of tough sledding to get a functioning Amorim team, and will we even like what we see then? We won under LVG and everyone hated the football style. Somehow this Amorim system has to be the be-all end-all, or we sack him and rebuild yet again — and Garnacho will still be only 24 when it happens!
Starting to realise thatNot worth it, best ignored
Finally at least someone appraises Garnacho reasonably. I have a different end opinion but everything here is pretty valid I think in terms of strengths and weaknesses.I think he’s got a great mentality. His pace obviously and he’s shown some lovely finishing in his time, although that appears to have been lacking recently.
I also think he has big weaknesses. Hes not very skilful, very much kick and run. He can be a bit weak and his decision making is poor. I just think those things can be worked on.
Hopefully? Jesus ChristHe's hopefully starting his last match, probably won't play too long to save him from injury.
Then his price tag goes up 10m per goalMaybe it’s all true that everyone is for sale and Chelsea are actually testing the waters. Strange move if we want to sell.
Amorim might see things different as well. Garnacho might find form and adjust to the new system.
I can see him stay at this point. Somewhat embarrassing if we sell a starting player. Let’s say he scores a couple of goals tonight. What then?

Christ man, have a chat with yourself .He's hopefully starting his last match, probably won't play too long to save him from injury.
Don't forget we're selling them Sancho.
It wasn’t just about shots. It’s his willingness to run at his man again and again without getting disheartened. The full-back knows they’re in for a constant battle at the very least. I call it his goldfish brainI appreciate the response but if we are going to look at that a little brutally, the first thing you list is that he takes loads of shots even when he misses.
He does have self confidence which is good but I think it's becoming clear that this supercedes his ability as a footballer.
Also just as a side note, I don't agree that he's particularly fast, not for a winger. I think if he had exceptional pace it might mask a lot of his deficiencies.
It's shame on them for getting us into this positionShame on the Glazers if they sell the lad.
Next he’ll be telling us that’s why they let him go!I mean Kvra scored like 28 league goals in 3 years at Napoli, so he's talking out of his arse. As per usual.
INEOS control the football side and it is they who are thinking of selling Garnacho. Only we could have gone and found worse owners than the Glazers.Shame on the Glazers if they sell the lad.

Lots of current mess INEOS created. First it was complete clusterfeck with decision over Ten Hag because of which our season is fecked, then Ashworth decision and then (which goes under the radar) spending 200 mil this summer knowing that we have PSR/FFP issues.INEOS aren’t doing a great job but they are trying to clear up as mess the Glazers created. This is why the Glazers wanted INEOS in, all the blame is moving away from them. They are the leeches that have crippled this club.

I’m aware he’ll never be the smartest player going, I just think there’s a really useful asset there when he matures.
Romano mudded
Shame on Ratcliffe.Shame on the Glazers if they sell the lad.
Those two aren't mutually exclusive!Shame on Ratcliffe.
You would think he would know if was genuine or not though. Not really, he was quoting another source and attributed them in his original post. He has always been upfront about where his stuff comes from.
Are we watching the same game?I've done a u turn and don't want to sell him
Left sided 10? I hear ya but I think nacho can grow into it. Maybe I'm being too emotional thinking it's his last game for us.Are we watching the same game?
We desperately need an upgrade at LF.
Emotional? He's been at the club like 4 yearsLeft sided 10? I hear ya but I think nacho can grow into it. Maybe I'm being too emotional thinking it's his last game for us.
