Alejandro Garnacho (out) | Chelsea make enquiries

That is one way of looking at it, but come the start of 25/26 Season I'm pretty confident Rashford and Casemiro will have more on.

We are in the end game for those two, it just depends how long both sides want to drag it on.
I was hoping for a fee for casemiro this window. But it’s been dead quiet on that front.

Don't ever accuse me of defending those Yankee leeches and that rat. If you look at my posts it's obvious I am INEOS OUT. I just don’t know where we get money from for players that we so desperately need right now
Well you are, whether you realize it or not. United put the whole squad up for sale, this was put out to the media before christmas, no one off limits. The only players we have anyone else would want are Garnacho and Mainoo, so we are selling Garnacho. You spouting nonsense like this is some sort of tactical decision by Amorim is ridiculous. What manager in the world we say, get rid of the super promising 20 year old player, so you can buy a couple average players in their mid 20s?

Some united fans deserve for the club to lose Garnacho for peanuts for the sole purpose of defending the club’s stupid spendings. Chickens have come home to roost fellas. This is how it looks like when, “it’s not your money they spend” logic.

You are massively overrating him.

Say we sell him for 60m, who are we replacing him with exactly? And within just over a week.

Don't think we would replace him or Rashford this window. I'd assume we bring in Dorgu or an LWB and both the above wingers go.

Hojlund (Zirkzee)

Bruno(Eriksen) Amad (Mount/Youth)

Mainoo(Casemiro) - Ugarte (Collyer)

or make the backup #9 one of the youth strikers and put Zirkzee in the Mount/Youth spot.

It's a player short, but 2 guys for each spot and promoting one young player (assuming Mount is out, who knows he might be back in a few weeks, he and Shaw you never can tell).

Then we have some breathing room/money in the summer to buy a #10 (Eriksen replacement) and a #8 (Casemiro replacement).

Or a surprise #10, like the Cherki rumours that just dropped. A loan would make sense if it's cheap as hell, just to get another body in. If we sell Garnacho to Chelsea, maybe Chukwumeka or Dewsbury-Hall come for 4 months and we get an option to buy if Amorim falls in love with one of them. There's probably a #10 somewhere not getting minutes with Prem experience, #10s get dropped all the time now for tactical reasons.

EDIT: not sure why this posted twice, my apologies.

Where did you read every player is up for sale?

That’s mental. For once if we’re actually selling a quality young player and not some clearly unwanted deadwood we should be making teams pay through the nose. If we were buying him we’d be quoted £80m.

Because of the system we’re playing it’s a weird one. We could either replace him with a LWB which we will likely do. But his real replacement should be a #10 since we aren’t playing wingers as such anymore.

Curious as to who you think we’d get in that’s better than him?
I don't want to sell him, though it feels like this is an inevitability if we want to sign anyone, courtesy of INEOS keeping the Glazer shit train chugging along. I'm merely stating that if he's definitely off I have no preference what his next club is, just that they're the highest bidder.

As for who we bring in? That's for the 'Best in Class' heads at the club to decide, but you'd hope we'd bring in some WBs or a Striker, ideally one we wouldn't look to sell a season on.

If he played for a team like Everton we wouldn't even be talking about him.

60m would make him 3rd highest sale the club has ever made.

Yep, no doubt we wouldn't get Garnacho to anything close to the prices mentioned. Napoli not wanting to spend really isn't out problem

Umm, I was alive during the month of December. Around the 11th or 12th all major media outlets starting reporting that all of the squad barring Mainoo, Garnacho and Diallo were up for sale. Then the next day it was said they all were, then Ornstein tweeted they were open to selling Mainoo, then the fanbase pushed back, then Mellissa Redy posted a story saying Mainoo was off limits. They tested the water with one of the media stooges and back tracked with another one after the backlash, but they never at that point reiterated Garnacho wasn't up for sale.

If you were Garnacho would you feel valued by the club at that point?

There is absolutely no way he is worth less than Kvara who they've just sold.
It's January, so they should be paying a premium. In reality we should be looking at a fee similar to what Julian Alvarez moved to Atleti for
Not some chicken feed £45M

This is what I’ve been saying, we’ve rightly criticised the club for poor sales in the past, now we seem happy taking a low offer for one of our few players who we could hold out for a higher fee on.

Why would he want to go there rather than Napoli? He'd be rotating with Sancho, Neto, maybe Felix, he'd get less game time than he does now. Equally, why would Chelsea want him? If he goes to Napoli there's a role there in the first team just waiting for him.
The interest the better. Can only help with potential prices. If there is actually something in all those rumours

Garnacho is nowhere near as talented is the issue. Kvara won Serie A and was one of the players of the season, Alvarez won the World Cup as a starter alongside all his trophies with city. 50m for garnacho is about right.

Ye except we aren’t signing him. He’s being used as a way to make some profit on sales and bring money in
We signed him though with the idea to realise his full potential didn't we? Under the old regime.

He's not worth £80m pounds.

I'd take the money and run at anywhere around 60m. I just don't think he has the tools to get to the very top level even if he did fit in the system we're playing.

Kvara is a vastly better footballer.
