I'd swap them yeah.
is mydruk any good for a LwB role? he's blazing fast isnt he?. and Isnt Nkuku a good inside forward player? how did they turn so many players to shit? they're probably worse than us

The whole point of moving from a manager to a Head Coach is to ensure that the coach is responsible for getting the best out of players that are recruited by the Technical Director or Sporting Director. Garnacho is just 20 and of course will be inconsistent. People want to develop young players but don't want to put up with the pain that comes along with it. You don't become a better player sitting on the bench, you do it by making mistakes on the pitch. It's frankly insane the number of people who want to get rid of a talented youngster because they think we'll be able to purchase better players. If it was so easy why haven't we been able to do that the past decade? And I don't say this just because he's from the academy, I'll say the same for Hojlund too.

The sporting director and techincal director do make signings and sells without consulting with the manager. Do you think the Man City board signed and sold players without Guardiola's input? The difference is the previous board gave veto to the manager and let him dictate and sign who wanted. This is not the same thing at all under Ineos.

I agree some people are impatient when it comes to young players, but sometimes we are guilty of being too patient or thinking just because a player is young then they are going to improve and become world class.

But this isn't about whether garnacho improves or not it's about whether he's worth keeping if he doesn't fit with Amorims system. I like Garnacho and think he's always positive on the pitch but he is not a generational talent who is ever going to be the player people imagine him to ever becoming and we should not be putting a players career and how we'd like to see them ideally progress above the manager's and club's plan

Totally different situations to me. Sancho has proven his level in this league, average. Plus we wanted rid quite clearly. Garnacho still has time on his side to show more, even if I’m not sure he’ll fulfill the early promise/home.
Yeah but if the club decides to sell him then ultimately they don’t think he’s that good and can replace him with someone better.

Like you say I don’t think he’s amazing but I’m not really bothered if he stays and wants to be a rotation option. Just can’t see him being satisfied with that.

People really need to stop this romanticism, it held us back post fergie thinking we could get another long term manager and it’ll hold us back if we aren’t ruthless with any player, academy or not. We literally do not play with a left winger and he’s a left winger who’s shown nothing to suggest he can play as a 10 or LWB. Take the cash and let it fund the rebuild.

I suppose I still have a nagging doubt in this clubs ability to do this, even though we do have a new team in charge of this aspect. We need to start properly upgrading our average talents.

Fully agree of course, it’s on them from here on out to prove they can do it.

The summer will be very interesting.

Chelsea need to pay up for Sancho first. Once that bill is paid they can ask about others.

Why do people are set against selling domestically? Seems very small time.
I always find it funny that in Italy you have players that have played for Inter, Juventus and Milan and it never seems a big deal there. United and Chelsea have been selling each other players for a while. Same to a lesser extent with Arsenal and United.

Personally I’d be sad if Garnacho left but I trust the manager and the club structure to have assessed his qualities. maybe he isn’t right for this system we’re committed to.

I can see him leaving eventually, but certainly not now and especially not for the money being mentioned. There are no good alternatives in January and we have other priorities in terms of getting people out of the door. Namely Rashford and Antony who contribute absolutely nothing.

If we sell to a rival then it has to be 100 million for Nacho and nothing less. They had no problem sign Mudryk for 100 euro's or close who had an unproven track record so if chelsea want to jump we should be making them pay over the odds It's a whole different ball game selling to a foriegn club with a potential buy back clause then selling to a direct rival who will be benefiting from in the same league

Ideally if we are intent on selling him then he must go to Napoli for 60 million since they themselves usually demand high fees for their own players

Mata was their best player at the time arguably. Or certainly one of them.
He was under previous managers. Mourinho didn’t rate him but he was 25 and quite obviously didn’t have the potential to get much better at that point. Selling a 20 year old Garnacho because we need money is a completely different type of transfer.

What are we going to do, just sell every 20 year old that’s a bit inconsistent? He’s been overplayed and figured out a bit, he needs time to adapt his game, but he’s still a huge talent that we have very rarely had in the last decade from our academy.
