Alejandro Garnacho (out) | Chelsea make enquiries

Its insane isnt it. 20 year old are being written off in a season where he has scored 8 goals. He is inconsistent but guess what he is 20.

Some people have made up their minds against him and see problem in everything Garnacho is doing

By this definition Mainoo and Yoro should also be sold

Aye. If we get a huge offer I understand if the club sells him to create PSR leeway and reinvest with two players that fit Amorim's tactical needs. But just because he doesn't fit perfectly into Amorim's system doesn't negate the last year and a half where he has comfortably been our most dangerous player at 19 and 20 years old.

People saying if we get a bid above £50m then we need to sell. Have you not seen how the club spends £50m?

We spent £55m on Mount with 1 year left on his contract and a season spent injured. We spent £50m on Yoro with 1 year left on his contract.

I simply don’t trust the club to utilise that £50m a find a better player or potential than Garnacho has. That’s why it would be stupid to sell him now. If they were offering over £75m then maybe but that’s not going to happen.

Mount was not Ineos and Yoro was seen as a generational talent who would otherwise be lost to Madrid at the end of his contract, I have a lot more faith in Ineos than I have ever had in the Glazers, the deals they made in the summer were some of the best we have had post SAF in terms of value for money

Effectively swapping Garna for Mbeumo, Gittins or 2 wing backs, or Dibbling and WB it is very much a possibility especially if we can shift Case, Rashord, Antony and Malacia this month

Mount was signed by the previous regime, those people are gone

Yoro was wanted by other clubs, if we hadn't signed him when we did he would have almost certainly gone elsewhere

De Ligt, Ugarte and Maz have been good signings, Zirkzee, well the jury is out, so I'd argue that the current lot might actually know what they are doing

Hope we double check that Sancho obligation is watertight if they’re in for Garnacho
One of the advantages of selling Garnacho is that presumably he's on 75-100k a week so Chelsea could easily offer him a wage bump with plenty of cash coming to us. They paid less for Sancho due to having to take on his massive wage.

What is Chelsea's obsession with wingers ?
They've got about 50 on their books already.

That too, we can’t win. However Beth from United stand made a great point.. if the club don’t see him as a regular starter in Amorim’s system next year. Take the money and sign someone else. As like you said we won’t ever see that value again.
I do struggle to imagine him fitting in to the system so would rather we take a decent offer in the summer if there is one

I don't mind if he goes for £60 million but he needs to be replaced before the window closes.

Good signings my arse. We sit 12th in the league. All these players still have questions marks around them. Ugarte had a shocker of a match last night to bottom of the league. De Ligt is a Dutch version of Maguire. Signing Yoro for that money when we had many issues in the squad was terrible planning. And he hasn’t looked amazing in the cameo appearances either. To say they have been great signings simply isn’t the truth.

Never in a million years would want to sell him to a domestic rival, but how do people feel about Nkunku? Suited/not suited to Amorim's system?

I know they were big into amortizing expenses but at some point even that runs out? How can they still afford to spend a shitton on new signings.

For you Chelsea - very good price.

£100m
Just about to say this - I’d accept him going to Chelsea but they’re paying a lot more than a club from abroad.

He’s contracted until 2028 so either pay up or he stays.

It feels like such a glaring design fault in the PSR rules that they essentially incentivize clubs to sell home-grown players. Surely that’s not something anyone wants?

There's not one thing in Garnachos game that screams world class. With a lot of interest in him now would be the best time to sell as he won't bring in another offer as good as this in the future. For once please can we sell at the right time. Missed an opportunity to sell Bruno in the summer (instead we gave him a fat new contract that we'll regret in 2 seasons) don't make the same mistake now.
