Pretty useless if he is not on the touchline, doesn't have the guile or ability to play that no 10 role. If Amorim does work out long term I don't think it bodes well for Garnacho's career here.

Need to be ruthless with this one. If we want to stick with this formation he simply does not fit. Work on selling him from now if that is the plan.
 
If anybody is offering 40+ for this guy, we simply must take it. It's too big a risk to think it'll suddenly click for him.
 
He'll be good in the right formation with the right players around him. Unfortunately, it seems less and less like that's going to be United at any time in the next few years. Ideally, we'd loan him out somewhere and he'd come back to a United in better shape but that seems entirely impractical.

It's the Premier League. PL coaches and defenders make it their business to figure out attacking players, and they figure them out right f**king quick. And if the attacker doesn't have a plan B, he's going to be found out.

Alejandro doesn't have a plan B.

Not even a surprise. I expect it to happen to a few youngsters with the way things currently are. Come in, show promise and then just completely rely on them to do something instead of nurturing at a steady pace with good leaders and experience around to learn from.
 
Scored some amazing goals and likes to counter but seems very immature and probably difficult to coach, he can't sense the danger if this goes wrong and becomes a huge liability, like he's 4-5 years off and can just play one way like a wind up toy. We need a bit more intelligence, maturity and craft from him. It's a real shame as he has very good ball carrying ability that our manager could use but often goes wrong once he gets high up the pitch.

I think his main trait is getting in dangerous areas where he's a threat to score.

His dribbling has never been top tier or even objectively good.

His take-on % from various websites was pretty below average.

Think his take on numbers in his debut season were pretty good, but yeah this year they are horrendous and last year very mediocre. And the eye test backs that up, you rarely see him rinse defenders these days. Bruno G embarrassed him today with how easily he dispossessed him.
 
He looked awful last night, there were periods I forgot he was playing. Was he playing as a LWB or left 10? He kept digging into the middle during the buildup when we desperately needed width
 
This system doesn’t suit him at all. He was quite good at the start of the season iirc but got worse with time (even before Amorim).

If we persist with Amorim you’d think there’s no place for Garnacho. Which is a big shame as he’s just 20 and could turn into very good player as he’s been showing for more than 2 years.
 
System doesnt suit Garna at all, he looks lost in the number 10 role. Such a shame, I had high hopes for him and I still think he will develop into a fine player, just not for us under Amorim
