This is just an example of how certain fanbase is targeting Garnacho as they believe Garnacho is the reason why their favourite players are not playing

You would believe Garnacho is some 100m pounds signing 27 year old guy who isnt performing at all looking at the online discourse about him.

That banner at the away game was embarrassing to be honest . State of it . But when you get 7,000 tickets you are guaranteed a few fools

He should see this as a challenge and an opportunity to improve his game. He hasn't developed much since his breakthrough.

Unlike Rashford, Garnacho has time on his side.

Man Utd 0:3 Bournemouth New
Poor when he came on today again. I don’t think he has made a single positive contribution given he was put through into good positions at least on two occasions and yet again he struggled to get the ball under his feet which has become a regular theme.

Showed his poor finishing again today when he wasted a good chance after being put clean through by Hojlund.

Think he made the yoro chance at the end
But his finishing in one on ones is so poor. There's nothing calm about it, it just seems strike it and hope I score.
He looks a loser in this new formation as he seems to want to get the ball and go out wide and take too many touches.

Lately I don't expect much of him when he's coming on. In previous 2 seasons I did expect something and he usually did make an impact from the bench. Now with this different formation Garnacho may be in trouble. Hopefully that won't be the case.

He is still a kid with potential ..Not a star .. but we play like he is our main player..
Same for Hojlund, mainoo, Amad, Yoro..

I've criticised him a lot but the last few games with him coming on as a sub, I think he's doing 'alright' for a 20 year old youth player. My bar is low but he's no longer head down running into players and is actually trying to find passes etc. The issue is that some have inflated expectations because of what he's produced before but most importantly, we're not not a settled team under Amorim so everything doesn't come off is heightened and more critical.

He needs muscle, a foot that could hit the ball correctly (other then Puskas award goals) and decision making galore.

His progress has slowed down and for me he seems lost at the moment.

Exactly, we keep giving kids too much too soon. These are young players with no proven pedigree but we give them big status and make them guaranteed starters then complain that we don't achieve anything.

The same fans clamouring for Garna to get #7 shirt are now turning on him for not being a seasoned vet at 20. Vinicius and Rodrygo were brought in to a team with Bale and Ronaldo etc. Not brought in and expected to lead the charge.

They need to be brought through behind top quality players that they can learn from and lean on, not be thrust into positions where we depend on them for any semblance of success.

Garna has had a great season for a 20 year old and I believe he is a very good young talent and has shown some great potential in his short time in the first team but he needs to be developed carefully.

Didn’t he create more chances than anyone else on the pitch? - harsh to call that a poor cameo.

Oh ya the guy who has moved to the bench, who was one of the few bright spots from last season is totally the main problem with this team. Maybe lets realize he’s still learning how to play an entirely new system while on reduced minutes and his confidence shot. Hope Amad never has a rough patch or the fans will turn on him just like they have with Garnacho and Mainoo.

His ability to control the ball needs massive improvements, his touch is erratic and his techniques when passing the ball or shooting is unstable, very poor yesterday.

He is still young though so we have to be patient with him.

He was not at his best, but at least he runs behinds and creates danger. Unlike others, I have not given up on him (people forget that he was our best player for a certain period) and I'm sure he will come good under Amorim

I'd say he's obviously not good enough and wouldn't get in the squad for any team in the top 4.

Let's get pure profit for him and buy someone who is actually worthwhile having.

People keep saying he needs to learn the system to show the basic fundamentals in football. He's not got anywhere near the ceiling you think guys!

He's been one of the starters in the worst frontline for Manchester United in modern history. He's shite.

Can't argue with your assessment here and I am for selling him if we can get anything above 40m.

Though I am hopeful this season he improves under Amorim, he is young and malleable.

Ffs, fans like these...

'He's shite' is frankly a disgraceful way to talk about one of our brightest young talents. He may not turn out to be good enough longterm (I suspect he'll end up having a decent career but not a world class one) but have a word with yourself.

Are you his little brother? I'll call a turd a turd when I see one.

He was ok yesterday. Applied himself, worked hard, etc. He’s a confidence player with no confidence at the moment—like much of the team.

There’s a weird policing group here that hates when you call players in the team bad, especially young ones.

Even though we are all discussing it on a niche Internet forum and not in the players living room, people get mad for you “abusing” players by saying they are shit in a performance thread.

Facts. Not allowed to say a player is rubbish, whilst we linger in 13th at Christmas.

Calling a young player bad or poor or not good enough is one thing.

Choosing to be disrespectful and labelling them as a turd is too far. Weird way to tag a 20 year old talent in the squad.

I called him shite. Personal would be me insulting his appearance or family.

I guess I just don’t take it as so much of an insult as some do, it’s more so just a synonym to me personally. Especially when it’s typed out on an online football discussion thread and it’s describing footballing abilities.

But it’s very possible I’m in the minority since I did get in trouble on here last year with mods for calling Antony a “football t****rist” last season

I have less of an issue with that and more of an issue of you calling him a turd after.

He shouldn't be playing as many games as he is, but hes a raw talent that works hard on the pitch. I also question his ceiling but I dont think hes shit. Feels like positions on young players need to be on one end of the spectrum, which I find odd.

Hes alright, sometimes maybe good sometimes maybe shit. Id sell him for the right money too.

Turd is a synonym for shite. Again that's not personal. I think maybe the expression lost in translation. No personal insult intended.

You do wonder where he might fit in Amorim's system. Amad seems a more natural 10, but Garnacho, i'm not sure he fits there. I'm not sure he has the right skill set to be a striker so that only leaves him as a wing back option, which again, you have to wonder, if he would be a great fit there.

I think people have every right to write whatever they want in here. And I don’t really care about the language. When I react to someone calling players “shite” or anything like that it’s because they usually don’t back it up with arguments other than stupid or superficial ones and so don’t really contribute constructively to the debate. I never understood why so many people go to internet fora to let off steam tbh.

Really not sure there's anything weird about taking issue with some drama queen calling one of our young players 'shite' and a 'turd'. It's pathetic - he's clearly not shite or he wouldn't be playing top level football. It's just symptomatic of the more toxic element of our fan base. But hey, if someone feels the need to express frustration in that way then it's their right to do so, just like it's my right to say that posts like that paint them as a pathetic drama queen.
