Squad player at best. Another position to improve in the summer.
Well his position was the most obvious anyway. Left sided number 10 is the number 1 priority. Then striker. Than CM. Then LWB as Dorgu isn't good enough. Then GK as Onana isn't good enough.
All the tools to make it where and as what? He could become a good Premier League player but i dont think he has the tools to become the star attacker for a team that wants to win the league.
He isnt slow but also not extremely fast. He can run with the ball but he isnt amazing at it. He shoots often but he isnt that great at shooting. He doesnt really have great vision because he only sees the opponent goal and the shortest route towards it.
He is too young to give up on a lively winger like him. If his decision making and finishing improve he can become deadly. But yeah, he should be an understudy still.

1st half was good but fecked up the big chance, 2nd half he looked tired and couldn't get that extra burst of pace. Our only player with dynamism, we need more like that.
He keeps trying and he keeps getting into good positions so he is at least impacting the game, but god damn his quality on the ball has been dogshit for most of this season. He's never been particularly good on the ball, but he's gone backwards.

I mean he isn't. He consistently makes enough space to take loads of shots by dropping the shoulder...he's not Doku level or anything but he's clearly the only player we have right now who can do it.

Watching him causes me physical pain. He's neither particularly quick nor strong nor good enough technically. He lacks everything needed to be our starting left sided attacker, and the fact that he's practically an undisputed starter just says everything about us a team.

He’s like an 8 year old in the playground in that when he gets the ball, the single only thought in his head is to get his head down and go himself. He should be a nightmare to defend against, but he’s easy because they know exactly what he’s going to do.
On the rare occasion he is forced into playing in someone else, more often than not it’s an afterthought and as he’s been running with his head down, he invariably plays it too long, or too soft, or behind the man.
It’s so frustrating because he has all the tools, he just doesn’t understand how to use them effectively and seems totally unwilling or unable to learn.
