90's Serie A - Draft Thread

We should only consider their best season/40 games (out of their seasons in the Serie A in the 90's). Everything else should be disregarded.

If we were going for a more longevity based draft then the lower limit would be 100 games or 200 games.

Also, what do we do about Anderson's team? As I thought, no one seems to be interested in taking over the team. Maybe cinc can as KM is back now?

If not then we will have to scrap that team from the draft and proceed with 15 teams.
 
If cinc doesn't fancy it then we'll just have to leave the team out or draw it in the groups and automatically give 3 points to the other teams.

A shame as there'll be no Ronaldo, Simeone, Totti, Winter or Panucci in the game.

He can't draft for two teams that's stupid, we can skip his team and do 3 groups of 5, best two from each house and two more who had best record. Than QF..
 
It's fine. We can go ahead with 15 teams, have 7 matchups and put the best loser from those 7 against the last team. It can be planned, no worries.

Anyway I have to ask, I'm considering playing a 4-3-3 with VB Bergkamp and another striker, while playing Donadoni as an AM, I know he's capable of it, but is it wasting him? I mean I have Mussi which is brilliant for me as the CM in the 4-3-3 and if I get good full backs it can work wonderfully, but I'm afraid Donadoni is a waste as AM.. Thoughts?

Marco Simone, "The Goal Apostle".

My next pick is Marco Simone, who had a phenomenal goalscoring record from the wing (although he did play up front on the odd occasion). 49 goals in 168 games for AC Milan, Simone also has a stellar trophy haul; four Scudettos, two Champions Leagues, one Intercontinental Cup and two UEFA Super Cups. He was also named Italian Footballer of the Year in 1994/95, but inexplicably, Arrigo Sacchi didn't bring him to Euro '96. The following season, Capello took a disliking to him and flogged him to PSG, where he won the Ligue 1 Player of the Season in his first campaign. Monaco bought him in 1999 and he led his new team to the title, being top goalscorer in the league and again winning Ligue 1 POTY. He would have played much more for the national team had Dino Zoff not adopted a ludicrous notion of disregarding any player who plied his trade outside of the Italian League.

*(I know Simone's exploits in France don't count in this draft, just using it to highlight how talented he was, and the reasons why he didn't play more for the Azzurri).
