Yeah, otherwise Maradona would be available.
And, of course, it is only one/two of the good seasons that count, considering the word 'peak'. The bad ones disappear.
There are a good few strikers still available that were better than Voller in the 90's imo.
Thisistheone -I got the PM you sent but should be on for a few hours yet. Before i log off, i will send you my pick incase my pick is tonight.
red head red said:Sebastiano Rossi
Edit: Brian Laudrup is my pick
Thisistheones turn.
Ruben Sosa... Good pick, very dangerous player. Will he be a wing forward or more central?
antohan said:IMO, he was one of the top 5 players in the world at one point. He completely outshone Maradona every time Uruguay played Argentina in the late 80's and his performance in the Copa America semifinal in 89 actually cost one of the Argie defenders his place in the WC squad (Bilardo's philosophy being that if someone is tearing you apart you should kick him into lumps, but the other guy couldn't even manage to to do that to him).
Ruben Sosa. Interesting. I have been wondering for a while whether I should go for the player whose arrival led to Sosa leaving. Would be a massive gamble.
Not a great pick IMO, relegated in his first season in Italy, with him shouldering a lot of the blame, and very few appearances the next.
Ou should have stuck to your other choice, which was valid.
Is it to late now?
Gianluigi Lentini. Most expensive player in the world for 4 years.
Depends, did you change it because of Brwned post saying your other player was ineligible? Because I don't believe he was...
Yes bit of a mix up
No doubting his ability, but through no fault of his own (bad injuries suffered), he flattered to deceive after that world record transfer. He could, and maybe should, have been legendary.
He'll be up front alongside Crespo, in a classic 4312 with Rui Costa pulling the strings, Sousa controlling things from deep protected by the Blanc-Thuram partnership which went over 30 games without conceding a goal at international level in the build-up to the 1998 World Cup. If only I'd gotten Desailly in there too...
Kinda unfair as he didn't play 40 games in 90's.This is what the rule says :
All players who have played at least 40 games in the Serie A since the beginning of 90/91 season to the end of 99/2000 season are eligible.
That makes it 52.
Then I think you should be allowed, ask Brwned to make sure.
Also, double check that the person you want is eligible, wiki says he is...
Who was this player then Paolo?
