Feels pretty bad for him tbh if that's the case. It's horrible being abused while no one cares because they think you have it made.

Pretty plausible as well, Don clearly only has a preference on Ivanka, mostly (I suspect) due to her physical beauty. His most prized creation.

It'd be lovely, to have great value-added products like shoes, t-shirts, coal, toys, couches, basic plastics, and so on, produced in the US again... backwards is forwards!

One funny thing is that Nike and Adidas are both planning on producing shoes in the US and Europe again in the near future, because although freight from Asia isn't expensive, it isn't 0 either. But the reason they'll do so isn't that they found a magical source of local cheap labor, its just robots.

So I'm not just a pure c*nt here, I'll share this article I read a while back and thought was interesting: http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine...erica-is-putting-itself-back-together/426882/
I read a while back about privatised prisons in the US using inmates as, basically, slave labour.

You would have thought his first born eldest son would also be yuge! because of passing the family name ( Drumpf) and legacy on to etc. However, whatever sympathy I might have had for Don Jr if that story is true and reflects his childhood, disappeared the moment I saw picture of the entitled prick cutting off the tail of an elephant he shot and also because he obviously chose to emulate his father rather than become his own man.

Positive news...Hilary rising on 538 this afternoon for the first time in a while.

The early voting numbers out of Cuyahoga & Franklin + Clinton's campaign decision to visit the state twice in last 4 days agree with this one. Beyoncé & Jay Z doing an event for her to get out the black votes.

Bret Baier was just on Fox and apologized for having used the word Indictment with the Clinton Foundation. He was basically trying to engage in a bit of voter suppression before Tuesday to help Drumpf out. What a prick.

How about taking a look at places like Stockton near Middlesborough, or even Middlesborough itself.
It looks pretty bad too but do a google image search on "abandoned detroit neighborhoods" and "abandoned baltimore neighborhoods". There are other places too. I've not seen that type of devastation in the UK.

Analogies are not meant to be carbon copies. They are used to show a common theme or principle, not that one thing is an exact replica of another... it's not Top Trumps.

Yeah I saw that, and it's been swiftly followed with that unbearable, hypocritical, holier than thou, condescending deluded feck Huckabee.

If you are trying to compare like with like, then this is a complete waste of time. There is a billion circumstances, and a billion more on top, which makes the two situations different. However on an even scale, they are equally as bad. Trust me I know, i was there for a number of years.

Can you expand on this? I'm not clear on what you're saying here

I don't know about most stupid man in the USA, but certainly one of the nastiest, hate filled, pedantic, disingenuous and deluded and deplorable. I'd love to put him in a car with Hannity, Huckabee and Drumpf and watch them drive off to some remote island, never to be seen again.

Drumpf speaking live now on Faux News! Sounds suspiciously to me like he's conceding Clinton is going to win! He's back on the rigged stuff again, saying Clinton is going to be the most corrupt President of all time, saying she will be constantly under investigation while in the White House. He's unbearable, but sounds completely defeated. What's happened to the he's going to win? What's happened to it might not be rigged anymore? What's happened to the polls being right?

I really don't know why people pick on the name thing. Plenty of people of German origin changed their family names to avoid discrimination in the US. Is it the irony due to the 70s apartment thing?

Oh come on Dwazza, don't be like Paz. Surely you are smart enough to get the joke behind it all? and don't take it all seriously? You must have seen the excellent expose about the name from John Oliver? It's been posted here enough times. But that aside it's funny for so many other reasons, like him attacking Jon Stewart for changing his name, and also because of how hypocritical he is constantly about other peoples names. Also the Drumpf name changing programme that came out too. It's funny for lots of reasons. Well I think so anyway. It's just a bit of fun, and the fact it winds so many people up Is pretty funny too. :p

You also have the issue of how many last names were changed by Immigration officials either through out right bigotry or problems understanding the person. In my family's case (on my father's side) our last name was changed when my ancestor came over from Ireland in the late 1800's. Our guess it was a problem with an accent causing a misunderstanding of the name or a simple error in writing down the spelling, we basically lost a vowel out of the name .

But picking on Trump is never a bad thing.

I see a lot of hate for The Donald here. Just a few that point out Hillary's mistakes. The wikileaks are getting worse and worse for her, and so little is being talked. The Podesta emails are getting increasingly bizarre.

I went to Orlando a couple months ago and started talking to people about elections. I basically couldn't believe Trump was running against Hillary and thought she would easily put him away. Then I started to follow it a little more closely.

Donald Trump is awful. Hints of megalomania and reflects a guy that don't care about the process or who's involved, just results. For a business man it works, but for a president? But wow, Hillary is spectacularly bad. On all 3 debates, she got well handled by Donald and sometimes I thought he was out of his medicines. She just can't talk about anything, she just smiles, walks around, try and act all suave like Obama and talk air.
Even in the brief moments they talked about economy, she couldn't say a word that mattered. She doesn't even care to explain the Clinton Foundation, the pay to play, or talk about past hunts for the women Bill abused (even now surfaced his visits to the Epstein Island), the superpredators line...

Her campaign in the last weeks is all about racism, sexism, misogyny. It's all about shouting and cutting losses. I think that maybe I expected more, but the Democrats being held and the cool collected party and the republican are painted as greedy and corrupt industry.

This race is awful, but the drama is intense. I'm almost running out of popcorn.

I wonder if you know quite how economically devastated some of the small towns where these people live actually are?

I don't know as a personal reality, yet I can imagine. But closing down free trade deals and putting up protective trade barriers won't help them ... except in the very short term in some cases, leading to even more devastation later when the attempted protectionism collapses, whilst in the meantime retaliatory trade barriers against US exports lead to job losses in other industries.

If an industry collapses becauses it can be done more cheaply or better outside the US, the only real and long-term solution is to create other types of jobs, often in higher-tech sectors where the US will have more an advantage, and for people to re-train and/or move to another part of the USA.

Trump's promises to the people in economically devastated small towns are pie in the sky ... but many will swallow it simply because it's what they want to hear.

I think John Oliver is a bit of a wanker, so, no, haven't seen it. I'm not wound up by it, it just seems odd. As you say, plenty of people change their names, i.e. Jon Stewart, there are plenty of better things to pick on but perhaps it's the desire to ridicule him that's behind it. Like I said, I just don't get it.

Hilary up again on 538, seems to be swinging back a bit and reversing the trend of Trump catching up.

Fair enough mate. It's just a bit of fun.

#Make Donald Drumpf Again!

The point isn't about what will improve their lives, that's what I'm trying to say. It's about people who have been deserted by the party that's supposed to represent them (but who will appear every four years and pay them some lip service about helping them) yet no matter who wins each election their lives never actually change in any meaningful way. They often don't have any option to relocate (even if they were ok with just abandoning their family and friendship circles to move large distances (bear in mind quite how vast America actually is). They just don't have the resources in many cases to do that.

The media portrays them as backwards, the politicians will condemn them as ignorant or racist if they complain they're being ignored, and they just feel utterly helpless. These are communities that needed big retraining and support programs to transition into new roles and industries, and instead they get the chance to maybe stand behind a till at Walmart. It's not that surprising that they're disenfranchised from the political system, and are willing to just say 'feck you' to the establishment by voting for an obnoxious moron. It doesn't mean they think he'll make their lives better, hell it doesn't mean they even like the douche.

The emails and wikileaks have been very dominant at times though, often on the news and gaining as much exposure as some of the shite Trump's done.

I agree that she's a vapid politician and that she fails to really exude any charisma, but even then if I were to score the debates I'd go 2-1-0. She wasn't great in the first and third ones but still did enough to be regarded as the winner considering how awful Trump was.

Did you forget your point about Orlando halfway through? I don't see what connection it has to the rest of your post.
