CNN claiming Clinton has dipped below 270.
If this election were held a month later then Trump would probably sneak it imo.

I agree completely, although the Republicans and Trump surrogates have been pretty darn close. Huckabee, Mayor Rudy G, Hannity and the abysmal surrogates on CNN and Faux, wow. They are unbearable. As I said before, it's amazing that the so called comedians like John Oliver and Samantha Bee are actually the ones carrying out the best investigative journalism work and reporting everything to the public in a far more palatable way.

This #spiritcooking thing on twitter is the most ridiculous thing yet, and there have been quite a few ridiculous things :lol: Podesta getting grief for something he verifiably wasn't even at! The smell of desperation would knock you out at 50 feet.

The content of the leaked emails is incriminating and they're brushing it aside as if it were nothing. The whole email ordeal and her carelessness with handling top secret and classified documents on it's own is a huge deal. The contents and the daily discoveries show her to be as corrupt as politicians come. Her and her husband past is full of incidents which are infinitely worse than what Trump is being berated for in such exaggeration that it's almost comical. The media is hellbent on a Democratic triumph that it's actually scary.

So how are comedians covering it up?

Disclosure: I've read as many of the "smoking gun" emails as I could on twitter and they invariably don't say what the tweeters screaming about them say they do.

The Dems are trying to turn the narrative to it being a disgrace that Russia are trying to influence the election with hacked emails / wikileaks etc.
Isn't that why secured email servers are vital? If anything they should steer clear from that line of thought.

Russia hacked John Podesta, a member of the campaign, not the government. Hillary's emails weren't hacked.

It is successful against those who aren't willing to read the emails for themselves, which I assume is the majority of people. Or those doing what CNN are advising here.

Trump is a neo-fascist - it's hard to get much worse than that. If you want a man like him in the White House then shame on you.

It shows how vital security is, being sloppy in this department is a black eye on Clinton when they go down that route.

Can you highlight please, with the quotes from the emails in context, these acts of hers that are worse than Trump? Because I've read a lot of emails...

By the way, I've said here before ages ago that these emails would have gotten far more traction if they hadn't been accompanied with ZOMG SMOKING GUN!!!11 style reactions on twitter and stupid exagerrations on the content of them. They've failed to garner a reaction precisely because they've been defused by people desperately searching for enormous angles in them.
 
I thought New Hampshire was Jed Bartlett territory. If so, how the does Trump get a small majority there? (according to polls shown on BBC just now)

I'm a big fan of John Oliver (I don't know much about Samantha Bee) but I don't think it's unfair to suggest he is failing to hold Hilary to the same standards he holds others to. I think he glosses over things he'd take much more seriously were it not for his very understandable desire for her to beat Donald Trump.

I posted this earlier in the thread, perhaps you missed it. All of it fact:

* Trump has tweeted the motto favoured by Mussolini.
* He drops anti-Semitic hints left, right and centre - e.g. tweeting a six-pointed star, echoing the Jewish Star of David, positioned next to a photo of Clinton against a backdrop of money.
* At a campaign rally in Florida he evoked fascist symbolism by asking his supporters to raise their right arms and pledge to vote for him
* He's spoken openly about jailing his political opponents
* He's encouraged his supporters to be physically threatening and intimidating
* He's advocated the torture of terrorist suspects
* He's spoken of his admiration for 'strong men' like Putin and Sadaam Hussein
* He's spoken about not accepting the results of the election
* He's encouraged hostility to the free press and media - who are an essential pillar of democracy
* He's referred to Obama's presidency as a 'regime' ... as if his democratic election doesn't matter.
* He's mused about "2nd amendment solutions"
* He's promised to round up 11m people and deport them, which would first mean establishing camps to concentrate them in.
* His supporters put out videos like Big Guns, which shows an ex-Navy Seal firing a high-powered, rapid-fire gun, accompanied by ominous voice-overs about the Democratic Party.

The list goes on an on. And that's not to mention his sly racism nor his constant referral to a global conspiracy (code for Jews supposedly controlling events).

Anyone who calls Trump a fascist needs their head examined. The man might be vile, but to believe he will introduce fascism to the united states is just childlike thinking.

They aren't hiding the mail, it's all on wikileaks for the public to read. They are just misinforming the public about the content and the severity of the issue, content wise and security wise.
 
Clinton has made mistakes for sure, and she has faults and isn't perfect by any stretch, nobody has said otherwise, but anyone who says she is worse or more dangerous than Trump not only needs their head examined, but they also need to go back and do some research and learn to think before they speak as all the evidence is there.
