The optics are terrible for Hillary even if it's not her fault that Comey came out with this. I reckon she'll still win but its only going to give the R's more reason to continue their obstructionism for another 4 years.

Also makes the Senate very very difficult.

It's a legitimate criticism in that she is investing in companies she is ranting and railing against, and routinely calling out for being amoral. She is building a political career on the back of demonizing big business, yet she feels quite comfortable investing in many of those companies. If she feels that strongly about it, she should find different investment products that don't undercut the heart and soul of her political positions.

I'm pretty sure if you look at Bernie Sanders' 401k investment portfolio you'll find some stocks in companies he rants against too. Most times its incredibly hard to even know where your investment money is tied in unless you are the kind of person who personally buys company stock directly.

Sure if you have the time and motivation to dig through my investment portfolio, be my guest and tell me that I probably have stock in companies which someone from my own immediate family defended against at some point in their law career. Pretty much every investment company sells funds and investment vehicles like "US Oil and Gas 2015" "North American semiconductors 2016" etc that a financial advisor probably bought. I might be making fun of AMD stock tanking on one hand while not knowing that its probably part of my portfolio.

The point is I don't have the time to do that and my self-worth is likely not even 1% of the Clintons. Unless she bought direct stock in XXX plc, its hard to fault her for it.

To be fair though, you're not running for president on a cleaner-than-thou platform though, which she is.

That's true. If someone is running for Pres and railing against big business and energy companies, then they may want to consider steering clear of investing in those same companies.

You can't blame her for not keeping her money under the mattress, which is the only place your money will not end in the hands of shady people.

Even your bank account money is being loaned out to shady people and shady companies... so, should we al close our bank accounts? mmm

really poor attempt to undermine Jill if you ask me. The system got us all by the balls.

According to this point of view, any person paying taxes in America is basically supporting genocides in Palestine, wars across the world, etc.
 
Can somebody remind me why Hilary felt the need to use a private email server in her home, as opposed use her Governments system?

I use my private email when I want to ensure my employers cant trace activities I dont want them to see - e.g: paling to headhunters and other employers about new job opportunities.

In that line of logic, she was obviously doing something she did not want the US Government to know about?
 
There's bipartisan condemnation? Republicans really decided to condemn the guy for undercutting Clinton? There might be hope after all. :lol:

I doubt she could have successfully hid ghee activities from the US government. Her excuse is that, her private servers are easily accessible.

Who said anything about keeping it in the mattress ? She could easily invested it in other places that didn't conflict with her political positions. Maybe she isn't quite as pure as you thought ehh ?

Yep, it's an absolute disgrace what he gets away with these days.

The idea that there's a media bias against him is just bewildering, he should be being called out almost every time he finishes a sentence.

Indeed. Investment houses offer access to a wide variety of funds (some even carrying a "green" or "ethical" designator) with detail as to their makeup.
