2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

Well I'm not going to accept a man as that just because people on the internet say he is

It's way beyond what just people on the internet say:

In February of this year Trump tweeted a quote used by the Fascist dictator Benito Mussolini: “It is better to live a day as a lion than 100 years as a sheep.” Soon afterwards, a group calling itself the ‘Lion Guard’ – who use the same quote as their tag-line – launched a web site, seeking to organise his supporters into a militia that is “willing to forcefully protect” Trump from people it perceives to be threats. Some may recall that Mussolini rose to power on the strength of his own militia, a group that also claimed to be “defending” the fascist leader from his enemies.

He has tweeted a six-pointed star, echoing the Jewish Star of David, positioned next to a photo of Clinton against a backdrop of money. And at a recent campaign rally in Florida he evoked fascist symbolism by asking his supporters to raise their right arms and pledge to vote for him

I have problems discussing politics with people lacking knowledge of procedures and actively scrutinizing things to fit their agenda, like here:

She just didn't say anything like that. She didn't. Even ignoring the fact that her telling the Israeli media doesn't mean shit about what she actually intends to do.

Don't be mistaken, I would have preferred someone else getting the ticket. But as someone here already said, the shit that is been thrown at her while Trump has said and done noumerous things that would have ended all presidential campaigns in the history of the United States, actively advocating an image of both being unfit to serve, is unbelievable.
I actually agree with you on Trump, I'm just as bewildered at the things he's been saying and how he's survived this far into the process, but my issue is that the backlash has somehow shielded Hillary to the extent she's almost given a free pass on the virtue that she's not Trump.

And regarding the Israeli tape, granted there's little she could do anyway considering she was only a senator at that point, nonetheless her sentiments are extremely worrying , especially if she intends to carry them forward into office where she will have far much more tangible power. Can we expect her for example to be an impartial arbiter for Israeli-Palestinian process judging by these sentiments, heck can we expect her to be a genuine bulwark for democracy being the leader of the world's most powerful one?

Polls should be taken with a pinch of salt. Our own recent elections (Brexit, General etc.) have proven that general public is beginning to no longer pay mind to the agendas of the media. I suspect Americans will be doing the same.

It never will be when you have clowns like Clinton or Trump in contention, heck it won't be so long as the establishment bipartisanship continues to chokehold the nation.

They are cogs in the machine. Sanders will go the route of Carter had he won anyway.

The hate for either candidate doesn't surprise me, however the sheer amount of people quite willing to cut their noses off to spite their faces DOES surprise me. Seemingly intelligent people too, but their principles seem to outweigh that, especially this campaign when ironically it calls for a more pragmatic approach. (imho)

Ironically, going back to the route of Carter would have been progress compared to the route we're going with these two.

But I'm not sure I agree with your sentiment on Sanders.

Since the Agenda of the media seemed to be "Let's get out country back!", I don't think Brexit proves anything here. It may only prove that GB, like the US; might go down the route of division between the right and the liberals.

The only comparisons between the election and the EU referendum in the UK is the amount of misinformation and ill or poorly informed people are about and also people really need to be careful what they wish for.

Yeah. I actually know someone at work who voted for Brexit and his beliefs are rather ridicoulus. He's an educated person and studied informatics, but his views on this matter have been completely screwed by not actually knowing how to build a viable point of view on anything in politics. He firmly beliefs GB will get access to the common market while not having to accept freedom of movement.

I'm starting to feel this non scandal is quite good for the progressive wing. If Clinton has little or no coattail due to Comey then she'll have to keep them all on side for every partisan fight, and overall it'll embolden them to put up their own candidate in 2020, or force Clinton away from her comfort zone and run a populist campaign.

Governance though, by all intents and purposes, is fecked.

Politics is often a matter of emotions in which reasons are used only to defend the side you already believe in. And I've seen this apply to people of all political affiliations.

The latest GOP voter suppression narrative - Don't bother voting for Hillary, as if you do, it will only result in endless investigations and no governance/policy.

Sounds like this story is dying down considerably from something bad against Hillary to something ambiguous that Comey made a mess of.

KellyAnne is going to have plenty of war stories after November 8th......unless of course she signed an NDA and winds up getting taken to court.

Amusing seeing Kurt Eichenwald have a meltdown. He's claiming the FBI have not even read the emails and have no clue whats in them.

Alan Derschowitz made a great point on CNN last night. He said Comey probably thought that it was good to make a statement yesterday, because he presumed Hillary will win and that all Trump fans would be livid if yesterday's news came out after the election. But what he didn't presume is what would happen if Trump wins and this announcement was retroactively viewed as having given Trump the election.
