I know it's ground that has been covered before and via a formal FBI review, but even a simple and objective analysis funds the conclusions of these reviews unsatisfactory as they do not seem credible.

At the time it was suspected she was doing it to avoid FOI inquiries. It was certainly extremely questionable and the simple fact she repeatedly lied about the server afterwards left a bad taste at the least. Her defense appeared to amount to 'oh I wasn't lying, I just don't know anything about technology' which is pretty weak on the plausibility scale for someone who spent four years as SoS.
People have lost their government jobs for things like that, and some didn't lose their jobs. I figure her being the DNC favorite had much to do, typical of elites receiving preferential treatment/slap on the wrist. Still wish the DNC had ran out a more likeable, less flawed person but this is what the US got: a flawed, unflattering Hillary versus a bunch of GOP circus freaks and a reality TV star/sexual predator. Oh, and an old coot that was as much a populist candidate as the polar opposite of him on the GOP side.

Not surprising the FBI guy only said they need to investigate them. If they had akready read them all they just would have announced the findings.
Yet the FBI couldn't find anything and the stuff wikileaks put out as 'scandalous' was next to nothing.

It's not nothing, but in the grand scheme of things it isn't a huge deal at all. Certainly when weighted against the multitude of things the feckwit on the other side has been up to.
The initial announcement allowed the narrative to take hold that they'd found something incriminating. It should have been made explicitly clear from the outset what was happening.
That's mildly concerning after only a day of new data fed in.

I know a few senior people from various companies using personal email for work. Not a fan at all. I've heard convenience mentioned by them. In government the FOI thing is a royal PITA and has become a timesink but this nonsense needs to be stopped. All email should be archived permanently. As I said a few posts back, I don't think it is that rare at all. She's just become the poster child.
