That's the key there. It's not that people are ignoring Trump's lies... It's that they actually believe them to be true. He's successfully created a cult of personality among middle aged white conservatives to the point that they're completely abandoning their own principles and don't even realize it.

Considering dickhead Chaffetz immediately ran with it I'm getting the scent of a rat. Trump kept the pressure up and I'm smelling (R)ats goading Comey, more so for the down ballots than actually wanting Trump to win (although a Trump win may still work in their favor with SCOTUS and other issues looming).

Trump's latest Twitter ad. I think it's awful, very jumbled and he now has so many taglines that he's actually losing his message. Instead of just keeping it simple with "Make America Great Again" he's now overdoing it with "Drain The Swamp" "deplorable's for Trump" and all the other crap he's coming out with. Like his campaign, it's verbose and goes on too much, it's full of shit, it's jumbled and it's losing its message.
 


Still beggars belief that this happened.

The hatred being stirred up is completely out of control, and yet again in that video, less than 10 feet away is a young girl on her dads shoulders. That's the kind of stuff I just can't ever get my head around.

Can't escape the feeling it'll give unsure GOPers something to unite behind the twat on, regardless of the facts. Best case scenario would be getting him to apologise over it, though doubt that's likely.

While I agree with that, Trump has just gone on a 45 minute rant about emails during one of his rallies. Apparently he was back and forth on it throughout the entire speech and he hardly mentioned much else except the usual corruption etc. I think Trump could become so consumed over this he could lose focus with everything else, especially if nothing is done about it, or like now, it's being revealed that it's complete horseshit. It could properly send him over the edge.
