Meanwhile they see the political and business elite literally creaming billions out of their countries with war and corruption and now they fancy taking a swing back at them. Good riddence to Hilary Clinton

I love the fantasy world you live in where it is the anger of the young at their reduced opportunities that is leading to the resurgence of right wing populism.

 The name calling not work then guys (Drump or whatever it was)?

Ironic really, since I thought the liberal left were the self-proclaimed intellectuals and sophisticated folks!

That'll be President Trump, to you....

Just came back from Canada - Banff and Toronto in particular. I would gladly move there TBH, beautiful country with lovely people. I felt Toronto was a lot like Melbourne (where I'm from).

We are brother countries.
 Stay away from my future country

The thing is I can see how this happens.
I live in Donegal. Up north on its own sitting beside Northern Ireland
Our infrastructre is shit, we don't even have a main mototway down south. The quality of our roads suck and we are known as the forgotten county in Ireland.
If an Irish version of Trump promised us changes I could see him coming close to 'winning' Donegal and if there were similar counties he would win those as well.

Will both candidates give their speeches tonight? I just want to go to sleep.

This is exactly it!! Why is it so hard for ppl to see this!

I got a bit theatrical for a second, but it's no fantasy. Turn the news on!

Glad you enjoyed it. We're very proud of our paradise. :)

"Hey everybody, look at our brand new candidate for 2020. His name is... Borock... Looks a bit similar, yeah."

Hope it's the Republican leadership in House and Senate that can dictate policy now and not leave it all up to Trump. He hasn't had the backing of the establishment throughout his campaign so it'll be interesting to see what happens now.

Weeks ago there was talks of Trump dropping out of the election. That is how much of a done deal people thought this was.

Remember when Trump running was part of the Hilary Clinton conspiracy after the tape and the 12 point bump.....those were good times.

I could still see the funny side if Hilary goes onto winning it after all. These final states are taking their time.. whats that Bill Clinton spotted on a runway again.

Not sure about the demographics of Trump voters but Brexit was definitely voted for by the older folk. 30 and under overwhelmingly voted for staying and you're calling their prospects bleak.

Establishment only distanced themselves because they thought he couldnt win the general. They will be back in it now.

But but there was no such thing. Brexit comparisons were wrong. WRONG!
Genuinely astounding how close to the mark they were, from the markets and odds getting boosted before polls closing, decent looking early numbers, right down to the sinking feeling in my stomach and not being able to sleep a 6 in the morning.

But isn't Pence running the country a scary thing too?

Lots of people of all ages voted both ways.

I think they're scared of him. He has a popular mandate.

she'll need to win arizona, wisconsin, michigan (favor trump atm) and NH (coin flip). it's like winning from a 0-3 deficit after 80 mins.

pennsylvania is trump's at this point with 99% of the votes counted and 50k+ difference.

88% of afro american voters voted Hillary and the white trash pulling power still prevailed. 'Murica

The problem with that is one can pick out any group of people from a hat and say the election was won based on that group. Why racists? Why older people? Why the white male? because those groups youre allowed to pick on in this climate. You could say it was won because of left-handed people on the same merit. It just shows a prejudice against all people who voted for the opposite of you. I'm sure there are plenty of racists who vote the other way too.

- You won because of racism

- "We're not all racists. Some of us are but most of us just enable it"

- OK. You won because some of you are racists

- "It's not fair to single out groups of people"

- Errrr

I got a bit theatrical for a second, but it's no fantasy. Turn the news on!

I suggest you consider the demographic breakdowns:

This has nothing to do with the life chances of millenials. This is the anger of old white voters. Just as with Brexit (Britain is overwhelmingly white anyway).
