To be fair, after almost 4 years out.. Your not really going to be Man City standard.
to be fair, I was talking about his career. He retired after City, didnt go on to play lower league, MLS, or even in China.
Therefore, Fergies point was rubbish

Right back.Whare do y'all propose we play him?
Right back.
I agree, it would also free up Smalling to play upfront alongside RVP.Makes sense. Better tham Smalling, imo.

What gave it awayIs that you, Moyes?
We may sign him only if the other biggies (especially Real/Barca) don't go for him. With his medical conditions I don't think that they will so we have to take a punt on him. The dithering Dave should transform himself into the muppet Dave and go for him.Why isn't he? We can offer twice the wages Dortmund can.
We've signed him, or agreed to sign him, or something, according to something called 'the mirror' that appears to be a fan fiction daily.
For someone who hasnt seen a great deal of Gundogan play - Who would he compare too? what type of midfielder is he?
I don't really know who I would compare him to specifically, but if I were to describe him, he is a very all-rounded type player. He can play in the holding role, box-to-box, and advanced if need be, he's versatile. Great passing and vision, strong in tackles, has a good shot; he's pretty much got what you want for a CM. His stats aren't very impressive in terms of goals and assists (about 6 G+A a season), but he keeps things ticking over really nicely for Dortmund, and controls the midfield as well as anyone I've seen. Someone mentioned previously that their game vs Bayern in the supercup was one of the best CM performances they have seen in a while, and I agree, it was a great performance against one of the best midfields in the world:
@MoneyMay that video felt a lot like it was your work?

He said at City that he wouldn't contemplate not playing top league football, he trained with QPR that summer who did not give him a contract... so he retired. He's a bit like Owen, could probably of played on if he was willing to drop down a level or few...
I think I'm going to go off and cry now. That was like sooo mean.
Dont you think even the likes of West Brom, West Ham etc would have taken a chance on a top notch player like him, if there was even a slightest chance that he was fit?
for Fergie to say it was all in his head was bizarre in the extreme. All in Fergies head on that one i suspect

He could play in a midfield two.Whare do y'all propose we play him?
Not with the new squad limit rules no... Top notch player he was but after that amount of time out, and barely playing at City. I doubt he was at this level anymore, hence why QPR did not take him on and clubs were not willing to take a risk (i think Sunderland had him that summer as well).
Not to distract too much from Gungodan but, in his first season Hargreaves treatment was to use injections of some kind to treat him. It allowed him to play but, it only made the problem worse. More than Bayern selling us a crock, it was IMO more of a case of a misdiagnosis in conjunction with probably all parties wanting him out on the field, incuding Hargo - that lead to his shortened career.
If we do look at Gungodan - hopefully we'll be a damned sure this time as to what the right program will be for him.
"Never trust a sunday newspaper football headline." (Nietzsche)
the simple fact is, he played 4 more career games then retired due to injury. Off course clubs were not willing to take a risk, they knew he was knackered, it wasnt in his head like the nonsense Fergie was spouting in his book.
Is his name pronounced Gun-do-wan? Not Gun-do-gan?
You'd need a very strong mentality to come back from a serious injury though. It's the lack of that Fergie was probably meaning, not just saying he wasn't really injured!

It depends on Gundogan himself really, as it's pronounced differently in German and in Turkish. In turkish it's more like the first one, but closer to "goon" then "gun" I guess. Is his name pronounced Gun-do-wan? Not Gun-do-gan?
That was Immanuel Kant.
(Nietzsche was a croquet fan)
Kan he play in a midfield two ?
