They're talking about reus, who there is absolutely no chance of getting anytime soon.

If we really are willing to the amount it takes to get these top quality players, we definitely have a chance. He has a release and there's no reason why he wouldn't fancy being paid a lot more to play in the premier league. But sadly, generally don't pay the appropriate amounts for these sorts of players.
 
Yohan kebab is coming in the january....get used to the idea.....gonna be mass suicide on here when barkley koke, and gundogan don't sign in january

I think there's actually hope for him in the summer. His contract is up in 2015 and Watzke said he's not sure if he's going to sign another contract, so he'd be available for probably around 20 million if he choses not to. Also I seem to remember him being a United fan back in his Nurnberg days.

Thats a good plus alright man. He's a gem of a player that lad. Just have this gut-wrenching notion we cant attract the best players anymore - for whatever reason or other. Maybe we've been too cocky & not shown enough love in bringing a player in etc... Either way - we need a change of tactic from now on in. No feck-ups & amateurish preparations is the way forward!

Expectations aren't high at all so you're probably wrong, although that won't stop moaning, inevitably.
 
Gundogan would complement Carrick brilliantly I reckon, he's a very forward thinking player, you can see that from the way he plays, he's the type of player who drives up the pitch and is always looking for that forward pass. He ain't half bad in the final third either, and he can dribble. He's got everything we need. He's reliable defensively too so he would also make for good cover for Carrick and would do well partnering Cleverley. We're a Gundogan and a left side away from matching the giant teams on paper. However, it just makes too much sense to sign him, so I can't see it happening.
 
Apparently Dortmund are seeking assurances from him since he hasn't signed the new contract thus far and has been linked to Madrid. I think this one could be gettable in January if we decide to offer some serious cash.

Moyes would probably come out and say we are not interested. He wants Koke only.

Gündogan told the press that he does not want to discuss his future while he's injured, so now that he's (about to be) at full fitness again the officials have said that they want to continue negotiations with him and that they want a decision in the near future, so they have enough time to line up a replacement if need be.
Dortmund are still competing in both cup competitions and Gündogan is probably their most important player so I doubt they would want to sell before summer, even if he decides not to extend his contract. Of course everyone has his price but I don't think it would be anything remotely close to a reasonable fee.
 
If he doesn't renew I hope we get involved.
 
We should be involved no matter what. The guy is fantastic, and is already in the top 3 in the world at CM. He will be the top one soon enough in my opinion bar any serious injuries.
 
Forget about him. We don't qualify for Europe then he's not coming.

I really doubt it. Their injury list is long, and selling for 40mill now to then miss out on champions league and that revenue, is not good business. Better off keeping squad as strong as possible, sell him for 30-35mill in summer and at least have a strong chance of getting that CL place.

If he wants to leave, no doubt Dortmund will agree to it, but only in Summer. People on the caf wanting Rues and gundogen in January, are only true muppets.
 
Weren't there a lot of rumours of Spain a few weeks back that he has agreed a deal with Madrid? It would make sense with Alonso's future being uncertain, not to mention that he'll need to replaced in the next couple of seasons and the fact they seem to be willing to move Khedira on.
 
Feck, Madrid's going to spunk another €100-130m on Suarez and Gundogan this summer. (Plus a LB replacement for Coentrao).

They'll get rid of Alonso, Khedira & possibly Benzema to free up some cash.
