We have done the deal. Agreement reached with Morata. Real stalling because they want €400M for him not the £65M we are reported to have offered and seeing how desperate we might be. Cant blame them really!
I think he will eventually be sold for around this price, the settling on the add-ons and buy-back is delaying the whole thing. Think its all but done in principle and Mbappe has been contacted so Real know where they stand player wise. I like most expect this to be done this week and Real to swoop for Mbappe before PSG get any closer. Their clock is ticking also.

The deal is most likely being held up by the current Ronaldo saga, whether he's going or not. In the off chance that he does leave Morata will likely stay as he can possibly get a prominent role for Madrid.
Personally i'd say this move is being held up by his marriage/honeymoon.
The last thing he's going to want during this time is being called away to do medicals/contract signings. It's probably both clubs being respectful and for all we know, things might be done pending his return

I do hope that Morata does well for us, because playing in the EPL is different to playing in Spain and Italy. The top 2 goal scorers last season are both experienced EPL players, so it isn't easy for a player new to the EPL, to score lots of goals (ibra, excepted).

I doubt Madrid would allow Morata to leave if they're still not sure on Ronaldo. Think the biggest worry would be if Ronaldo goes to PSG then Madrid won't want to sell Morata anymore.

First of all it's not a response it's a stand alone statement, it's 'idiotic' to not realise that.
Secondly, the only thing idiotic currently in this thread is the person unable to understand why someone might want a bit of private personal time the week before one of the most important events of their life, which is also a fairly busy week, and that they may wish to wait a week or two to sort out work stuff.

Well I'm very sorry about that, but it doesn't change the fact that it's painfully obvious why news might lessen the week before a player is due to be married, It's obvious.
Him getting married has nothing to do with it, because all reports mentioned we already have a full agreement with him and the problem is with reaching an agreement with Madrid. The negotiations were going between us and Madrid, not us and Morata.
We are going to lose Morata to Chelsea if we do not manage to forget Ronaldo for a short while. Sign Morata first then look at any situation that may involve Ronaldo. My guess is that Real Madrid will pay Ronaldos tax bill and he will Stay there. He is just pissed at the tax situation, and blames the club for it. If they sort it he will stay there.
Problem now is that if we get Ronaldo then we don't need Morata. Ronaldo would play up front for ud and that's where Morata wants to play. He won't come to play second fiddle again.
With this in mind i fully expect that the Morata thing has been put on hold in a sense that we won't push it now. If we end up chasing Ronaldo all summer then we could quite easily end up with nothing and that would be a disaster for us.
I could quite easily see Morata seeing this situation and deciding he would rather go elsewhere where he is more valued, should Ronaldo stay and Morata be allowed to leave.
