The bigger concern with this one is that Real probably will not want to sell with Ronaldo issue. That's becoming more of a problem here than few millions more or less.

Definitely. But I don't expect much to happen in the next week or two. Every transfer with Real is a complicated transfer which won't be resolved quickly. You can say that about all our targets really. We're dealing with clubs who don't want to sell their players this summer and they'll put up a fight

Point is, Madrid won't sell Morata until the Ronaldo situation is solved. So what you're suggesting (get Morata, then go for Ronaldo) looks highly unlikely to me in any case.

We have also been on tour in the past and players have joined up late for various reasons. The time to panic would be if we got to August and only signed Lindelof. Then any signings after wouldn't of had a pre season, which is always a bad sign.

Unless Lewandowski is really unsettled, no striker is really guaranteed to settle in well and be good for us for many years. Instead of contemplating buying Ronaldo, we should try to buy 2 out of the following:
