    You think Rashford will start?

Have to admit though Ruben had a master class in his presser. “Yes it’s a new challenge here”
I personally thought he would have along with Garnacho but it looks like he isn’t part of the travelling squad down to London so will be either Hojlund or Zirkzee up top.

I disagree with a lot of posters on here in that I think Ruben (as well as Ange for Spurs), will go very strong for this one. A win would be a huge boost for either side.

It's a huge game for Spurs - I think we will just see the usual amount of rotation we have since Amorim came in.

After watching the pregame presser you wonder if the journalists asking questions even care about football at all.

They all would be a better fit writing about Paradise Hotel. What a joke.

Amorim even starts to laugh. He will regret that, now the morons will find new ways of getting to him.

I would love for him to just go on and be a mega success, cause then they can’t touch him. Fergie owned every single one of them.

Regarding the game, would love to see Yoro dominate. Getting his self confidence up and getting in feel at home would be a major boost.
This boils my piss as well. He is the head coach of Manchester United, he is responsible for the teams on field performances, nothing else. And he has to sit there and kindly answer stupid questions if Marcus feelings are hurt or not. Wish they would start off with, ” only questions about tomorrows game allowed! And just stick to that.

I can see Garnacho making an appearance tonight and impressing. I think he'll have a positive reaction to all this recent drama

Big game for Spurs though. they need to string a few wins together badly

The prospect of a double legged Semi final against Arsenal or Liverpool doesn't really fill me with much excitement. Especially given they will come smack bang in the middle of one of the busiest period of the season. That said I want trophies, gotta roll with it I suppose.

If we win today, it also adds importance to ensure we finish top 8 in Europa to avoid that two playoff games during a busy period

Their defence has been absolutely decimated by injury. Their attack is strong but our front 3 should be able to exploit their weakness at the back.

In terms of our season, arguably we'd be better going out of the Carabao Cup and using the time to focus on training the system a bit more. A free midweek allows that.

That said, I still want to go through and hope we smash Spurs all over the place.

Don’t care about this cup. In fact, getting eliminated would allow for more training sessions and rest. And I’d rather the club focus on the league and Europa League. Considering this utterly stupid KO time on a Thursday and Bournemouth, who are quite strong currently, on Sunday, I hope he rotates heavily. Then whatever happens, happens.

No leaks because Rashford didn’t travel

    (not 100% serious)

He also didn't train yesterday (or so I read for illness).

When I read the story about leaks in the Athletic it said something about the team gets picked for the final training session.

I guess we can be at least 90% serious.

I think what Amorim said is that he picks the team before the final training session so that the players know what they are meant to do before training. He did say he's not overly concerned about it leaking, and that he's more concerned with getting his instructions over to the starting XI.

Always amused by the fact that some here predict a United win in every game. I don't see us winning but I've never been much of a fan of this competition and the Europa is about 1,000 times more important this season.

If we can stick in the game and still be in it with half an hour to go, then I would fancy our chances.

Agreed. Very annoying. Why can't we start earlier?
It’s a pretty standard KO time…if you’re in the uk

    Nowt wrong with 2000

Finish work. Run around the house. Tea. Kids sorted. Nice and peaceful for a 2000 KO

You completely missed the point. Obviously the TV will show multiple angles and you will hear the commentators discussing what has happened. No issue with that whatsoever. However inside the stadium you are stood with no idea whatsoever what is being looked at, a goal is scored and we just wait, sometimes it is obvious such as a clear offside or if there has been an obvious foul; many other times it is not obvious at all and you are just stood there waiting, with no real idea of what you are waiting for. Nobody tells you what is being looked at. It is wrong that I can be at the game and pull my phone out after the games been stopped for 2 or 3 minutes in front of me, text a mate asking what is being looked at and get a response telling comfortably before we are actually told inside the ground, I'm not really sure how anyone can defend that.
That is an easily solved issue and just comes down to communication. All it would take is for the ref to be able to connected to the stadium announcer and when a VAR worthy incident occurs, announce to the whole stadium what is being checked in that minute or two it takes for the ref to go to the monitor and make a call. Something like "Possible foul by away team number 5 in the box. Penalty check by VAR." That would be enough to placate stadium goers and not effect the viewing product too much.

Ultimately VAR will require some level of discomfort/ waste of time but I think most fans would be ok with if we were getting correct decisions much more frequently. My main problem with VAR currently is the freaking decisions are just as bad if not worse.

Yeah some geezer talking bollocks on the tannoy at me is all we need for the 'viewing product' (just threw up) to be alright in the away end at Villa Park.

    Some people have no idea.

Having a tough time deciding who to go for in my line up prediction. Has Garnacho said what the 11 is yet?

Expecting a lot of changes in a pretty defensive lineup, trying to keep it tight for an hour, and then bringing on subs to try to win us the game in the last 20-30 mins

    Onana
    Yoro Maguire Lindelof
    Anthony Ugarte Casemiro Malacia
    Bruno Garnacho
    Zirkzee

Maz, Mainoo, Amad and Hojlund off the bench

Just looking at the results last night and Arsenal, Newcastle and Liverpool are all through to the Semi's.

So including tonight's game that is 3 tough games/opponents to beat to actually win this thing again.
