Banana skin.
I'll be more confident (or maybe less confident) after van Gaal gives his presser, as I have no idea if any players who weren't fit for Swansea will return with the exception of van Persie (who isn't going to play the full game either).
If van Persie starts, then we can probably play 352.. But, that's only if one of Rafael or Valencia are fit. Although, if Blackett starts again (which I'm fine with, he had a good game against Swansea) then we could possibly play Young as the RWB with Rojo on the left. If van Persie is coming off the bench regardless, then I would much rather us play a 4411 for this game as my opinion is we need to play to what personnel we have at our disposal:
de Gea
Jones Smalling Blackett Rojo
Januzaj Fletcher Herrera Young
Mata
Rooney
--
Amos; M.Keane; Cleverley, Fellaini, Kagawa; Hernandez, van Persie
That's if Rafael, Evans, Valencia, and Welbeck are all still injured, and if van Persie is going to play 30 minutes rather than 60 (I think it's one or the other). Januzaj is not at full fitness despite how effective he has been in both of his substitute appearances so far, so ideally we would replace Januzaj with van Persie in the second half to look like this:
de Gea
Jones Smalling Blackett
Young Fletcher Herrera Rojo
Mata
van Persie Rooney
If we do this, or if we simply have a couple of players back from injury, then I reckon we can sneak the win by a goal as this is no doubt a tough game. Sunderland, if they can get anywhere near their end of season form from last term, should be looking to finish in the top half.
Gonna go for Sunderland 1-2 Man Utd again.
Edit: Although, if someone can point out which guys are definitely back in training, that would help
