He was the culprit for the Sunderland's goal IMO. He failed to clear the header (he didn't even jump FFS!), despite being in the area. For me, being the main CB of the team, he has to be more commanding. Yes he played well in the second half and was much better than Smalling even in the first half but didn't do enough to be the man of the match.
For me it is Juan Mata, even other than scoring the goal, he was probably our best attacking threat and could have had another goal if his touch had not deserted him at the key point. If Rooney and RVP had turned up, we could have won the game despite playing badly.I didn't vote for MOM. None of them deserved it.
At least he should have a chance to play with first team. And it's not the same to play in training and official match. Mata has been poor last 3 matches, so if someone is not playing well, bench him give other players chance.
Well, with all due respect I'll take Van Gaal's opinion over yours.There is no need to panic atm as we missed all 4 new players yesterday (including ADM) in crucial positions in addition to that we had few others first-team players missing(Rafa,Carrick) and on top of that we are going to sign two more players,everything is going to be ok in few months.
My worry is if we need ADM for teams like Sunderland, who's gonna turn up for Chelsea, Pool and Citeh??
All the others who were injured. Carrick, Rafael, Shaw, Evans, Herrera, welbeck, van Persie, smalling, rojo would all be useful to have fit.
When people say, 'with all due respect', they really mean the opposite. Also VanGaal is not infallible.
Van Gaal isn't infallible but he and his coaches are the ones who see what happens every day in training. I'll always take their opinion over that of some keyboard wannabe. With all due respect.
