Out of interest what is our record like on Monday nights? I think we've won our opening day games when they've played on Mondays, but apart from that, my mind has gone worryingly blank.
Up until the City game in 2012 we were undefeated in 24 Monday matches stretching back to 1998 (where we lost to Southampton), since then we've only beaten Villa to win the title in 2013 I think.

no Marouane? and back to 3-5-2 without Blind? Ok in Carrick I trust!

    @redevil2 :lol:

Let's just let it go. I think we will lose, you think we will win. We both want us to win. I don't see what the issue is.

Anyway, I'm off to bed now so let me know how we get on.
Ah cheers and will deliver good news for sure. And do go sleep with peace of mind and don't worry. We are due for another win. :)

If it is 3-5-2, would much prefer Wilson up top to Van Persie. It's a counter-attacking formation so we need pace leading the line.

Hard game to predict given that we're on a good run of results but hardly put in any convincing away performance bar the Etihad battle. The Arsenal result had more to do with Arsenal than United. On top of that, the Saints will be up for it after losing two in a row, all the more since their defeat at the Emirates was undeserved. I wouldn't be too disappointed with a draw but really want us to make a statement and send a signal to City and Chelsea: we're coming for you! I'm still waiting for Van Persie to win us a game on his own, as I feel he's still able to do it. He'll need much better and more regular service though.

I'm going for a 2-1 win, our favorite result this season.

How was Emirates undeserved? We took our chances, they didn't. The game could've easily been 3-0 or 3-1 if Di Maria took the easiest of chances to score.

Man Utd Starting XI: De Gea, McNair, Smalling, Rojo, Young, Carrick, Mata, Fellaini, Valencia, Rooney, Van Persie.

Subs: Lindegaard, Evans, Herrera, Fletcher, Januzaj, Wilson, Falcao.
No Herrera is dissapointing. Also was hoping that we'll finally see Falcao start. Otherwise, it is fine.

Coming back from injury, maybe 3 games in a week might have been a bit much from him?

not a big fan of 3-5-2 but i trust van gaal with this one he of all people will know what way to beat a koeman team

Its like LVG is trying to piss up off by not starting Falcao or Herrera and then switching back to a formation that we've lost or drawn more games than actually won.

Please no wrist sliting, I see it before every damn game.

Let the game play out and then air your thoughts.

Why, oh why, do we persist in playing three at the back? It's mind boggling. Have we actually looked more solid defensively when we've used that formation?

That is a weird starting 11, absolutely no pace in it at all, and why back to the 5-2-3 crap?

Wow, why the hell is Herrera not playing? That's baffling.
I guess LVG wants to play 352, and thinks we'll need Carrick, Fellaini and Mata in the middle more than we need two of those three + Herrera. Not sure I agree, depends how the game pans out. He was great from the bench the other week though, so he could probably come on later and influence the game when we need it.

If this backfires like it now easily could thanks to this Lineup I will seriously question Van Gaal.

3 at the back is recipe for disaster, no Herrera is crazy and still playing Van Persie regardless of anything is just a joke now

Herrera was not good against Stoke. If we have to play 5-3-2, then it makes sense to leave him out.
