    I honestly do not give a shit anymore, win or lose.

    LVG has made me hate football far more than Moyes ever did. I'll be "happy" with anything at this point.
     
    I think payet is going to rip our midfield a part. It will probably be a combo of fellaini/herrera or Fellaini/carrick and payet will walk through it like we are playing with 9 men. Schneiderlin/herrera is never given enough time to fully gel. First it was herrera on the bench, then schneiderlin got a spell on the bench, yet fellaini just walks back into the XI and gets a full 90. I think we'll probably see the same thing again.

    0-3 - Payet to have a field day.

    Problem being is we almost never turn up nowadays. Pick an 11 out the two teams in fact any team we face nowadays and it is usually split where under Fergie it was usually 1 or 2 players at most from the opposition that would get in the 11.

    Or if we don't or if we don't I hope we are bad enough to lose on the day. I can't stand the thought of putting myself through another United game.
     
    Such a pity that most think we'll lose this. By 3:45 there will only be Palace, Everton and Watford still in it! Arsenal ha-ha!

    So why is itl so fecking hard to get excited about a United game? LvG has to go so I can get my passion back!

    Arsenal will easily beat Watford. This is their competition after all.
     
    During the SAF years I always approached a game knowing that we could win: even in those 2 CL finals vs the imperious Barcelona, I could vividly see a possible win.

    And so it's weird that my feeling is we will lose this game, as was my feeling before the recent Liverpool game and a few others. Quite the turnaround!

    The proportion of fans who think this is a loss hasn't reduced since the thread opened. I wonder if we could change our decision whether that number would reduce? Maybe if there was a time limit before being locked as in team selection it might show a more accurate picture of people's thoughts going into the game.

    Think I'm going for this. LvG usually starts a player in the next game if they got 20~ minutes under their belt previously, so I reckon it'll be Schweinsteiger in as part of a midfield three to help win the battle in the middle of the park. Fellaini is likely to get a sub appearance as I assume he'll get banned for the return leg against Liverpool, while Lingard should replace Rashford to give him a bit of a breather - he'll come on to replace one of the front three at some stage though. Was thinking maybe Januzaj would get a sub appearance, but I'm now thinking it'll be Schneiderlin (if he doesn't start).

    I could see Schneiderlin starting again in place of Bastian, with maybe Darmian playing as well..

    I think Herrera works so much better in a midfield 3 and the front 3 would be a lot more fluid in an out and out interchangeable front 3.

    That midfield 3 can all interchange too. Herrera can also push forward and drop back and effortlessly link defence to attack, something he was fantastic at last season. And one of the keys to him doing that was playing a midfield 3..

    It's all about bringing out the best in our players we have on the pitch, we can cram all our best players in but if they aren't playing their best position/role they won't be effective.

    City and Arsenal have given us countless chances to close the gap or even go above them... but we've fecked up every time
