We could lose at home to Villa and LVG would still be safe in his job. He is staying for the remainder of the season or until it's mathmatically impossible to qualify for CL football next season. I have resigned myself to that fact.

Anyway the team I would like to see is as follows:

    De Gea
    Varela-----Smalling-----Fosu-----Riley
    BFS----Herrera
    Pereira
    Rashford-----Martial-----Memphis

Wouldn't be opposed to Januzai starting ahead of either Rashers or Memphis though.

I think he is staying until Summer 2017 at least.

Chelsea out, so this could open up if we can win this one.

For everyone with their pants already round ankles, it's West Ham.

Just remember that. It's West Ham lads.

Chelsea out, City out, Liverpool and Tottenham also out.. this sets us up nicely to lose to Palace in the final after beating Arsenal in the semi's.

United squad: De Gea, Romero, Darmian, Williams, Varela, Smalling, Blind, Rojo, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Fellaini, Carrick, Herrera, Memphis, Januzaj, Lingard, Martial, Rashford

So now Williams is in but TFM isn't. McNair has gone altogether as has Love and Weir, Januzaj is back in but Pereira can't get a look in?

This disappointed me the most as I was really hoping Blind would be rested.
One consolation is that Blind has the summer off, he won't be thinking that though. I worry that we are relying on Martial so much at a young age, as looks like Rooney out for longer than hoped and he will be at the Euros as well. Smalling is going to be dead on his feet as well.

I think he's just looking to add to his youth players debut tally at this point, which is stupid as it messes with the young players heads. Fosu-Mensah got his chance and played well, but he's not in this squad because LvG wants to use another youth player to continue his fraudulent "I give youth a chance" agenda which is all he has to cling to right now.

That is what's worrying me about all this. As others have said he has brought this kid Williams in, who is good, but he will still play Blind, who looks mentally and physically gone. If TFM was in he might have been able to rest Blind.

Forget Blind,it's Rojo that I'm pissed about. He deserves to be dropped altogether unless we move him to CB.

He seems strangely oblivious to the fact Blind is out on his feet, he's looked spent since the Watford game. I guess if Williams is left footed he might have a chance of playing as we all know how much Gaal-Qaeda loves his CB's to be opposite feet.

LVG is really strange, I just hope that next season whoever is here is a bit more sensible and plays Pereira more. I don't think Januzaj will succeed here because every time he plays he looks like he just doesn't give a shit.

Then you would think it will be Rojo and Blind, unless as has been mentioned we play the dreaded 3 at the back again.

About Riley Darmian is now the cover for both RB/LB position and LVG has included every of his senior CM options in the squad so no spot left for him (or Fosu-Mensah).You can only have 18 players in a matchday squad.

We really should beat the shit out of the hammers but I can't see anything other than a defeat in the cards.

So in other words once the seniors are fit they kids go. Good job Wayne is still out or Rashford wouldn't be in. Or Williams if Jones was fit.

Well most of the underperformed senior players are his own signings so it's not like he's gonna dump them in 1 or 2 seasons anyway.

I would have played with the side he picked against Arsenal continuously, but it is easy to drop some players, especially kids as they won't complain.

Fosu-Mensah seems to have picked up a knock anyway so can forgive him for that, but Riley should be ahead of Rojo if I have to pick the squad.

West Ham are ahead of us in the league. They are a better team, overall.

Subs: Dodgy keeper, debut, debut, irrelevant, irrelevant, irrelevant, not a striker

LVG pre-match: We have to win but it is not so easy.
LVG post-match (drubbing): The fans are fantastic I think, they were waving at me.

Against LFC, he said Fellaini was the best player on the pitch. How can he drop Fellaini?
Fellaini shall always play, if he is able.
And in all fairness, he and Smalling, are our only players who have any physicality about him.

Do we have another crop of youngsters that he hasn't yet filled with his philosophy? We could do with those right now.

I'm waiting for the game where he starts DDG on the right wing.

    Christ I'm getting so bitter.
