Happy with that, I think. Our best football last season come with a midfield three of Carrick, Herrera and Fellaini, which had a blend of everything. Hoping it will be two pushed on, as opposed to two deep and one pushed forward.

Also hoping its Lingard on the right, Martial on the left and Rashford down the middle.

Big game for us. We need to go for this from the off.

I take it that Januzaj and Pereira playing in the reserves yesterday means they won't feature tomorrow. It's actually a joke that van Gaal continues to overlook both of them when our attacking options are already so scarce.

We haven't got one natural right winger in the entire squad. Januzaj is probably the closest we have to one, yet he doesn't even make the bench.

Mata's suspension makes this an opportune time to introduce Pereira at #10, though I'm sure he'll play a three man midfield featuring Fellaini and Carrick. It's getting tedious.
Knew it, he's too predictable :(

Was it Carrick/Fellaini with Herrera forward or was it Carrick/Herrera with Fellaini forward? M.E.N. is saying Carrick/Fellaini doesn't work. Not sure if true.

Fellaini in midfield. I definitely would have put Schneiderlain in there ahead of him. Rest of the team is pretty okay. Still not confident.

That's a rubbish team. Can't see us getting anything from this.

LVG: Herrera and Schneiderlin in midfield, win 3 game in a row, not good enough, they are living in the past, I'll bring them back to reality, failure.

Fellani and Carrick. Payet will have so much fun against them. And no Perreira, ridiculous

Pereira has been really poor in his last few reserve games.

If Fellaini and Carrick actually play as a two we should at least be pretty solid. The trouble is they won't. Usually Fellaini and the other midfielder are always 20 yards apart.

Carrick is past it, Fellaini simply isn't fit to play there. They should be out of the team unless we simply don't have anyone else. Schneiderlin is struggling but I'm a fan of hiss so I hope it's just his first season problems. I also think Schweinsteiger will be a massive boost to the team when he is fit to start.

I hope United are watching this.

This is our best opportuntiy to win the FA cup in a LONG time.

    Potential semi final teams:

    Manchester United
    Everton
    Crystal Palace
    Watford.

Come on United... DON'T F*CK THIS UP
We just did...oh well, getting used to this now.

Why does he keep playing Fellaini in the 2 man CM when he's been shite there every time? fecking idiot.
Inexcusable selecting fellaini yet again, he is the worst player to have worn the shirt for united in the time I've been following the team. We're fecking doomed

Hopefully they can recreate that, but Carrick of last season is a different beast to Carrick of this season.

Blind need a rest and I'm angry to see Fellaini and Carrick again together.

Our midfield is awful - worst possible combination. The rest of the team is okay, even though I miss CBJ (where is he? he isn't even on the bench), he is better than Rojo

Could be one of our best opportunities to win this competition if we actually manage to beat West Ham. Which means we invariably won't.

    Perpetual lethargy.

It was niether. Carrick was holding, whilst Herrera and Fellaini pushed on. Having said that, if one was deeper out the two, it was probably Herrera. He was more of an 8, whilst Fellaini 8/10.
