    Ibra should have scored that. No idea why he tried that panick flick towards goal. Could have taken a touch and smashed it in.

    Still, delighted to go into half time just a goal down. We were completrly outclassed for 40 minutes. Jose more than anyone else needs to turn up today. Get martial on the left and let's start hurting their fullbacks. And Mata or Rashford on the right.

    But more importantly we need to start playing some football. In that half one team played proper football while the other is just hoping for stuff to come off.
     
    Good half for us. Daley Blind has been terrible for you. Asleep for both goals.

    Decision to include them was ridiculous. Just use Rashford and Martial with space City leaves on the wings these two would have been so dangerous but Lingard and Mkhitaryan are doing nothing.
     
    City have been really good, which pains me to say; but it just shows you the game can change if we put them under proper pressure..
     
    Having both Rooney and Fellaini in MF doesn't work because they're both so bad on the ball.

    Need to have a MF three that is comfortable taking the ball under pressure would be perfect.

    Pogba - Blind - Mkhi would do that.
     
    We should have attacked at them. We are at home for feck's sake. It's so obvious that we should press their shitty defence.
     
    Pep has been on top with his tactics but the goals were a fortunate for them, unfortunate for us. Blind was off and let KDB have it. Ikea was lucky to get the rebound. We got a goal back, can still do this. City have been pushing hard, they'll slow down soon. And Rooney will take advantage of that. In Jesus name, Amen.

    I wholeheartedly disagree. I don't think I could disagree more actually. You have to press a Guardiola team and playing Zlatan and Rooney up top, with Pogba and Fellaini in midfield on their own is suicidal. Not shocked at this performance at all.
     
    Drop Rooney into midfield, get Rashford on for Lingaard. Our build up has been nothing short of atrocious. We need numbers in midfield.

    Goodness me, Lingard has been dreadful, and I like the kid. Valencia getting nutmegged should be a highlight for anyone who thinks he's the second best RB in the league should be made to watch that over and over like in Clockwork Orange. Rooney at times has been shite, too.

    Mkhitaryan showed why he hadn't started for epl yet. It is like he had no idea what to do with the ball after carrying it to near the box. wtf.
     
    City really haven't been all that. You guys are making it easy for them by giving the ball away so much.

    Mata & Rashford on for Mkhi & Lingard & this is winnable.
     
    I would swap Blind for Smalling and Lingard for Rashford. In the dying minutes put Martial on.
     
    Need to do something early in the second half to keep the little momentum we had there.
     
    The options every City player has on the ball are amazing. Like they're playing with an extra man at times.

    As a number 10 Rooney is critical to this team but he doesn't do anything a number 10 should do. Yeah. sure he hasn't been the worse player on the pitch but he's completely ineffective in that role and it massively handicaps us week in week out.
    Mourinho should have left him as a deep CM, about the one good thing from LVG's reign was him turning Rooney into a deep midfielder.
     
    Zero ball retention. Wide players look drunk. Ibras hold up play hasnt been great, fantastic goal though
     
    People are going a bit OTT, they were better, we were much worse and made them look better than they are, but some posts how they "outclassed" us, bloody hell! :lol:

    He obviously thought the goal was empty. Stones really just got there one second before the shot. But, yeah, he should really have looked up before getting the ball.
