Ok. Crazy stuff. The doomsday brigade will be devastated to know we've been far better in second halfs.

Rashford's kind of game, the way City are is begging for counters.

    Great game though.

We should be level at the break. Would be undeserved though, City have been completely dominant. Having said that, DDG's not really been tested but our outfield players have been given the runaround.

One thing is for sure, we are shite in possession. I would definitely consider bringing on two of Mata/ Martial/ Rashford at the break for Lingard and Mickey. Completely inappropriate game to make their first starts of the season.

Very poor performance overall but we're still in it and exposed some of their defensive frailties towards the end of the half. Still game on.

Outworked and outplayed for most of the half but could have went in 2-2. City's press is rabid but they faded badly against West Ham so hopefully it will be the same here.

The midfield is getting overrun with Pogba not helping Fellaini out enough and Rooney offering nothing because he can't protect the ball and ease pressure. I'd get Rashford and Herrera on for Rooney and one of the wide players.

The way Pep plays his teams always dominate the ball. But they look weak defensively we have been shocking in the 1st half yet we could have scored a few. City's weakness is their defence. However with peps set up they don't get tested often. Zlatan nearly got another right at the end but didn't realise Stones was on the line.
Was hoping for another layoff or another step to hit it harder

Take Lingard off, shift Rooney to Left Wing, get Herrera alongside Fellaini and Pogba as the forward midfielder.

City haven't been great. We've been shit.
KDB is brilliant to be fair.

It should be 2-2 if Zlatan took a fecking touch first. Shocking to see him lack composure.

Second half will be hectic. Red card inbound. Calling it.

    2-2 FT

    what we will get:
Mhiki off for Rashford - going to the left
Lingaard off for Mata - going to the right

    what we want

Rooney retired, but I will settle for just being subbed at HT

Change Mkhitaryan for a central-midfielder at half-time and see how it goes before reaching for Martial and Rashford during the second-half I think.

Shame we don't cross the ball well. Their keeper is there for the taking.

Mkhitaryan has been poor, sadly. Lingard as bad or worse. Center backs poor. I think fullbacks were solid. Unbalanced in midfield for me. Need another man in there (likely at the expense of Rooney).

This match kind of reminds me of the 2011 UCL Final. Fortunately City are nearly as talented as that Barça team. We can get back in this game.

Ugh! Ibra should have tied it up by now! That Bravo mistake really shook their defense, which I don't think is that great to begin with. We HAVE to sort out de bruyne. It makes no sense why he is so easily open the entire half. That will be objective number one for Jose. Mihk is most likely coming off. He just can't keep the ball. I'm not sure Mata's lack of speed is the answer. Maybe Martial on for Mihk and move Lindgard over to the right.

Oh Zlatan! What happened there? If you wanted anyone to have composure in that situation it'd be him. Why did he shoot first time?

Still, somehow we've managed to claw our way back into this, while still looking awful defensively. We need to make some kind of change. Schneiderlin in mid to add an extra body and strengthen our spine, Lingard off for literally anyone else - he's been woeful and Martial or Rashford would surely be a step up.

and is a better keeper all round.....
I watched almost every game from Bravo for Barcelona and he looked great. A lot better than anything I've seen from Hart. One bad half certainly won't change my oppinion on him.

City are NOT a great side, we have been cowardly and complacent on and off the ball.

Their defence and goal keeper are fecking wank and we are throwing this away through lack of bollocks.

Bravo getting a nice Premier League induction there. Need to target him like many targeted De Gea.

It's not all ball-at-the-feet, Pep. For all his flaws, Hart would have scooped that out of the air with ease.

Great game for the neutral. Mata and Rashford for Lingard and Mkihtaryan and you could win this.

Ibra should have made it 2-2 at the end there.

Far easier chance than the one he took.

Need to take out Mkhtirayan asap.

Herrera for Rooney, push Pogba forwards and Rashford for lingard for me. Evenif Rashford can just come in and draw fouls in good areas we've got a chance with how the gk is looking.

That was just awful by Ibra. Unmissable chance. We're in this now.I'm sure we'll score but our defense is awful too.

I knew starting 2 wingers who hadn't had much football would be a mistake. Both need the hook at HT

Can't believe that miss from Ibra.

no one has been terrible as a whole although everyone's had a bad moment. we need to start pressing and impose OUR will for a change. it's not hopeless by any means.

Zlatan must have felt he had very little time getting the shot off, no other explanation really for him not just taking control of the ball and placing it in the corner. Changes need to be made. Mkhitarian needed to come off 20 minutes ago. All players need to wake the feck up.

Rashford's kind of game, the way City are is begging for counters.

    Great game though.

City are there for the taking. We have just been so poor.

We have found a massive weakness in Bravo though. He is making Joe Hart look like Peter Schmeichel.

Martial and Rashford on for Mhiki and Lingard please. We are extremely lucky to still be in this game.
why i kind of agree, but on te other hand neither of them are great crossers of the ball, and cities big weakness is in the air....

shame young isnt on the bench

Ugh! Ibra should have tied it up by now! That Bravo mistake really shook their defense, which I don't think is that great to begin with. We HAVE to sort out de bruyne. Mkhitaryan has looked awful, but he's looked a lot better than Lingard who has just been invisible.

Hard one... I think the players on the field are the right picks, apart from the lack of Martial.
Citys pressing is fantastic and they are all over us, glad both Stones & Bravo have mistakes in them to let us back into this (and we have individual quality enough to make something out of nothing).

More and better of the same in the second half I'd say.

I can't believe it's not 2-2. Ibra only had a man on the line to beat.

This shambles of a performances is completely on Mourinho. I don't know what he's thinking with this team selection.
