Rashford is probably pretty jazzed that Casemiro has been so bad that it overshadows that he was invisible for a 5th straight half this season.

It’s a terrible game plan that relies on not creating enough and giving the possession, it only works if you never make stupid individual mistakes. Eth sets himself up for a failure because he’s not good enough for this level, you can call it unlucky if you want
This. We basically set up as the underdog, regardless of opposition.

Bruno also shocking. No idea why he is the captain and starts all the time
Had a feeling he would he an issue but was hoping, praying the new deal wouldn’t be a mistake

To be fair, Liverpool have been impressive today. Solid pressing, superb final balls and clinical finishing. There’s not much more you can expect from them unless you’re existing prime Real or Barcelona, which would not be realistic.
I think they've been really impressive in every game tbh. I expected a fall off with Klopp gone but so far they look arguably better than last season tbh

Missing it fortunately but just seen the score.

Well established set team with no new signings and a manager who can come in and go “keep it up lads” vs a radical project of in and outgoings.

I have zero faith in ETH to turn this around in the second half. I just don’t know where the goals are coming from, and more importantly I don’t trust these players not to make another catastrophic error in the next 45 minutes.

Martinez should be dropped. He is shocking for firat 3 games. Based on form, Maguire and De Ligt should start

Zirkzee has looked like that time we chucked Hannibal up front in preseason. I don't think it's just the hair, either.
I was thinking the same. I even thought to myself at one sequence that he looks like Lukaku playing more deep.

Gary Neville mentioned in comms seconds before the disallowed goal that we looked "compact" and Liverpool passed through us with ease.

    Still no functioning midfield.

Ultimately, they have more firepower than us and it showed in that half. We look very toothless, whereas they have players in the final third who know how to hit the back of net consistently.

We can’t surely hood Cas and leave only Collyer and Mainoo in there.
Surely you pull off probably Zirk, put Bruno up top and solidify the midfield. The “pressing” 4 are getting bypassed too easily then Mainoo and Cas are no where near them and then it’s just put in behind them and we are getting stuffed. Time and time again.

Doesn’t help that again people picking the wrong passes time and time again and the worst culprit for it is Bruno.
Wow. So leave Casemiro on. Crazy

He's made mistakes but so have others. On the 2nd goal if Lisandro marks Diaz well he cant get his shot off. Lets him get too far away
He lost possesion twice when we where transitioning into an attacking shape, thats when any team is the most vurnerable and you can't have a midfielder who keeps on doing that.

Still blame our parasite owners and culture they've cultivated all these years. Shit decisions and deferred squad improvements (not even mentioning the stadium and training grounds) so they could continue to suck money out of the club. We had chances to sell Martial, Henderson, Lingard, Maguire, Mc Tominay and many others but they thought they'd sell shirts or squeeze a few more cents out of some sucker club and we left MILLIONS on the table which we really needed this last window.

Is delit an upgrade on maguire? He doesn’t look it.

At this level you can’t make mistakes like we are making. Let’s hop Ugarte makes some impact. Casamiro has lost it.
Overall de Ligt has a more than fine half? weird person to moan about. Martinez again looked much more suspect.

Martinez really starting to come under scrutiny, his form has been poor again at the start of the season. His decision making has been so poor, and he is always good for a stupid yellow as well.
There's been an extreme honeymoon with him with ton of credit in the bank not extended to other CBs. I'm glad we have three potential starter options there.

Casemiro being non-viable is a massive problem however. Mainoo can't do all the season by himself and that supposed everyone stay fit.

Amad isnt good enough to start these games, he was terrible against Brighton.

Rashford shouldnt be starting either but we have no options on the left unless we put Antony their as we didnt sign a replacement for Sancho.

if Amad isn't good enough neither is Bruno.

Amad had a Bruno-esque performance, not very good in the phases of play but pivotal to provide an assist or score a goal.

So if Amad isn't good enough to start neither is Bruno.

How can you not care if ten hag stays when the continually inept midfield is largely down to him
Ok we were a bit toothless in attack but we were controlling possession until the 23rd minute where it was like 63% in our favor when Casemiro decided that he needs to start putting in his "greatest of all time" performance.

I'm not here to make excuses for ETH, just trusting the new setup in the knowledge that they know more than me and can make an informed decision. If he gets sacked he can't say it's undeserved anymore. No one can.

As horrid as that was, the next goal could be huge. If we could get just our shit together (big if), this game could still turn.

Get one back and the energy will flow throughout the stadium, then anything’s possible.

But you look at that lineup and think who could lift everyone out of this rut? I struggle to see anyone. We have to start the next 45 like a house on fire, but sadly I would not be the least bit surprised if they got a quick third to put the game to bed.

By a better side. Answer the question, realistically with the options we have what can we actually do here. For large spells we were okay but for some shocking individual passes. Rashford starting is the only real negative as he’s clearly finished.

We should be better able to pass/progress the ball. No excuse this his 3rd season. The list of teams who are better than us on the ball is too long. It's all on him, esp after getting the ball playing GK Onana, licha who is exceptional with the ball, MDL who is supposed to be good on the ball. To add to that there's Dalot and Mazaroui, both very good. It's absolutely on him that we can't progress the ball back to front.

And then the pressing....pathetic without mount.

Like how do Brighton with a new coach play better than us. Villa etc....

We're still paying for poor decisions made by the previous regime BUT that doesn't excuse EtH - he's the one picking Casemiro when he's clearly a million miles off the pace
But again who do you play instead? These sort of opinions just completely ignore the context of managing top level football squads. So what drop him for Collyer? Hes signed his replacement he’s just not available!

OK for spells but looks zero attacking threat and can barely pass a ball .

This one is utterly gone now as even the most insanely deluded fan can't think we're scoring 2 today.
This is all on INEOS. We had an entire season of this shit and they decided to stick with the manager.

I am not stressed about the game at all, but I watch us and I don't get it, like what are we trying to do, with Liverpool I see what they wanna do, with us, it still feels like waiting for an individual brilliance to happen

False 9, false 10, still very poor in midfield.

Case, Martinez and Zirkzee have been poor.

    Garnacho invisible.

Rashford made some runs and did feck all. The only thing he can do nowadays.

Collyer for Case and Amad for Garnacho or Rashford at HT.
Garnacho has been fine. Rashford is like playing with 10
