I for one think Fellaini will cause them more problems than Rooney has caused any PL team this year (granted it's not hard). Schneiderlin ommision is strange but you can't complain with a pairing of Carrick and Schweinsteiger.
Eh? That's been Schneiderlin. All three have hardly been pulling up any trees but for me it's been Morgan.
I can only think that he's trying to get some more creativity in midfield. Either way our midfield 3 should be far too good for Liverpool10/11 - went with Schneiderlin instead of Carrick, poor choice in hindsight.
Last season, we played some of our best football when Fellaini was in the team. He's a good footballer, that can hold the ball up, score goals and is always a threat in areal duels. Fellaini isn't a real downgrade in terms of pace on Rooney.LVG contradicts himself, he keeps going on about more pace yet decides to play Fellani upfront.

Schneiderlin's one of the main reasons for us playing dull, slow, defensive football for me. He gets overlooked for that because "it's not what he's been bought for" and because he runs around a lot but the pace of a team's attacking game is dictated by their pass selection not by their running, and Schneiderlin falls down onnthat big time.
