Manager is in a tough position. Making big bold changes, but that just means swapping long term underperforming players like Fred, for long term underperforming players who were already dropped from the side like Rashford and the Scottish half of McFred
Graft and recycling the ball to their flanks; might not be a scary trio on paper, but I think they’ll stick to their brief seamlessly and run and hunt as they’ve been told to. As you say, it’s the intensity and aggression of an organised midfield that’s concerning as we have to match that.
You’ve got a lad Called Garner who did that for 90mins - two games a week last season! He was good enough against Liverpool then.

I’m a fan of Scott but not as a #6. His defensive position and awareness are literally his worst qualities. The holding midfield position remains a concern, and none of those we are playing today I would trust to do a job there.
