Interesting how thin Liverpool's bench is. Basically Fabinho & youngsters. Some talent but no game changers, maybe Carvalho.
If the starters can keep the game close, at least we can throw on Ronaldo, Martial, Shaw, Garnacho, DVB, etc. Probably asking the starters to run themselves into the ground & smash & grab with the reserves.The alternatives to what ETH has given us today were not abundant. I have my own tweaks, but one can see the logic of starting McTominay although I have to point out that he’s been atrocious for four seasons apart from one performance against Leeds. Quite remarkable that he’s lasted this long and gets the start against Liverpool.Can't see where the goals are gonna come from to be honest. Shame Martial isn't fit enough to start.
Well you said it yourself. We were outrun an outworked so ETH brought in players who have loads of running and energy to replace players who don't have much running or energy(Ronaldo, Maguire and Shaw).
