Don't worry. He'll still get you that one point.
Yep not more than that. Silly to include any United players in your team right now. Atleast wait until we show we can win a match this season.:lol:

Elanga and Dalot on one flank is going to make us ridiculously predictable. Just mark one flank and youre fine.

Starting McTominay and Elanga with Rashford up front is a fecking shocker.

So when we're in possession it's basically 8 vs 11.

He cant play McTominay's role at all, it would be absolute suicide to play him there especially in this game.
But McTominay can't play McTominays role at all! How do you know DVB cant from the 4 starts he's had in 3 years at Utd?

McT, Eriksen and Bruno midfield makes me a bit nervous, not sure they have enough legs and graft, would've liked Fred over Bruno. Happy with the rest of the team, Elanga brings a lot of fight and work

Enough statements of intent in that line up for me to be satisfied. Can’t field a good line up cos the squad is so poor. So maguire, shaw and ronaldo getting dropped is at least a message.

    Probable lineup:

    DDG

    Dalot Varane Martinez Malacia

    McTominay Eriksen

    Bruno

    Elanga Rashford Sancho
Not sure how I feel about this. Dalot and Elanga aren't going to offer much and the frontline looks weak overall. I'm struggling to see where the goals will come from.

Glad Malacia's been given a chance, even if it is a baptism of fire against Liverpool.

McTominay and Bruno… one needs to show for the ball and use it well and the other, not treat it like a bomb.

As I thought, Scott starts. Was fairly obvious he would after what happened last time out at Brentford. Unfortunately in a midfield alongside Eriksen and Bruno, I fear McTominay is going to be massively exposed if he is expected to play as the sole #6, but we didnt really have a lot of better options.

With Nunez suspended, it makes sense to drop Maguire. Also the correct decision to start Malacia over Shaw.

Personally I wouldve dropped Bruno as well and put Fred or Donny in there, but I can understand that ETH will want some creativity and outlets in the side.

holy feck he isnt messing out is he? Maguire, Shaw and Ronaldo all dropped. We will still get tanked but thats making a statement to underperforming players.

Utd need workrate, it is one of the easiest things to fix without spending money, put in players who will run with intensity and for longer than 10 mins or when it suits them to generate an oh so important stat for their "legacy"

This will probably be a tight game, good aggressive approach, high intensity, set a level that any subs coming in have to match. Sancho is lucky, his effort levels have been just as poor as the others, but it is an opportunity to show he belongs here.

Fair play to ETH for dropping Shaw, Maguire and Ronaldo massive calls but good on him. Dont fancy us at all, but at least we're trying something different.

    Think we'll see more of a 4231, rather than a 433 tonight.

ten Hag went with a double pivot of Eriksen and McTominay against Brentford in the second half, rather than just having Eriksen as the single pivot, with two 8's ahead. It was more reminiscent of how ten Hag set up Ajax in 18/19 with a pivot of De Jong (deep-lying playmaker) and Schone (ball winner).

ETH saying we need mobility and agility when asked why he dropped maguire haha. Also said we need to press when asked about dropping Ronaldo. Both fair-ish points.

Does McTominay start to cover for the wee lad Martinez on set pieces?

They’re going to come at that midfield like thunder. Hope it holds up.

How many chances has mct and rashford got now? Both awful and still starting big games

Brave, brave man Erik cos he'll get so much grief if we get battered. But I'm all for it and glad he's done it. Just wish we had a suitable stand in for DDG too.

Im not sure Eriksen and Bruno can or should play together
At least if we lose we will go out and buy FDJ and Anthony

Having said that, I left Rashy in mine just this one last game. Now he's up front.
    He'll score 2.

    Hopefully goals not points.

Anyone with a brain can see that McTominay as a lone DM with Eriksen and Bruno is a terrible decision. Poor selection from Ten Hag, we're going to get destroyed.

You guys realize that McTominay has been playing as an #8 so far under ETH and it really doesn't suit him

Let's hope he is the #6 this time around, should be much more effective not having to play with his back to the goal

it’s the night for varane and martinez to show what they’re made of,
