Well, I guess ETH knows the size of the challenge now... I feel like this is a mental problem more than anything. The lads just looked scared out there whenever they were asked to play football in risky situations, like when playing through the press.
I think looking to play without a proper striker was also too much for these guys just yet, as pathetic as that sounds. The upside of that formation is usually lots of options outside the box and then lacking a finisher, but we didnt ever dominate possession. Keep it simple, stupid, is probably the solution here until ETH has had enough time to drill some tactical discipline into them. Think we'll see something simpler shortly.
