Good post. The defence is getting very little support as Perreira and Fred have next to no defensive nous. The issue with Matic is he also gets bypassed quite easily and offers almost nothing going forward. Bit of a quandary.

No one forced him. He shelled out £150+ and let the likes of Lukaku, Sanchez, Fellaini and Herrera go without a thought to reinforce the midfield. He claimed he was happy with the squad.

Anyway, a well coached team should not be struggling at home to Villa. This was always one of our 'gimme' fixtures.

44mins of League 1 standard performance is completely erased with a goal. The narrative suddenly becomes, then, that Rashford's actually had a good half. You can insert that for everthing, too - a player is rubbish for 6months, has 2-3 good games and our fanbase claim he's turned a corner. Ole turns in 3/4 shocking performances, one good oen, and we've turned a corner.

Fred either passing out wide or hitting long same as Andreas. When they're passing to either Williams or AWB more often than not they don't have anything on, so they either take on their man either by themselves or with James, Rashford, Martial. Just watch the game objectively and see how fecking disgraseful our play is. I've seen League 2 teams look like peak Barcelona, so I'm 100% sure this down to coaching.
