How is someone making assumptions regarding someone on a online forum based on their words, deemed weird?

Are you even sure what are you arguing? You're free to believe whatever you want, but we employ the same system with or without Pogba and I called you naive because you believe City's ability to play without their best players is more down to them having quality replacements (bear in mind Silva is playing way out of position in order to replace KDB) and not to them having a formidable system, considering that they've always played the same way, with or without their besy players.

You could have done that and I wouldn't make any fuss over that, because calling someone naive isn't really enough to get that defensive.
Oh dear... You sound angry. Have a lie down.

Worst possible start as usual but I think we came into it. Just need to be sharper in possession. Herrera been giving the ball away in dangerous areas needs to sharpen up. Front 3 have been very sloppy. Felliani and matic have been decent. Need to be more confident in going at their defence. Get lingard off and put on sanchez.

We neither have the personnel nor the necessary counter tactics to go on head to head with them. Our only can is avoid getting knocked out early and look for an opening to land one sucker punch.
Testament to the great work of our manager.

Our starting MF has no passing ability to make our attacking runs count, Fred needs to come on because City haven't shown all that much tbh.

Matic's refusal to look for a penetrative pass is infuriating. Run is made, and he thinks about, runs forward a few steps then generally turns it down for a safer options. With no Pogba one of the midfielders has to show the courage to try the difficult pass, Matic should be that man.

At 1-0 we are still in this game, although with our defence there’s more chance them doubling their lead then us scoring. Set pieces are vital, sadly we lack delivery so corners are sh*t show. Mata for 87 min equaliser (if it still 1-0 that is)

Not the worst half, actually maybe even better than expected... but there is absolutely no way we can score a goal having both lingard and rashford in attack... especially lingard, what's even the point in having him in the team? Bring Alexis or Mata at HT.

Don’t won’t to focus too much on the nagatives because city have been tremendous. Different class of how to set up to play a game. The patterns of play they pull together are something else.

I’m actually glad it’s just 1 0 at half time. Times have changed as united fans haven’t they ?

To be fair, they are a much, much better side than we are, but they're stuck in 2nd gear at the moment. We have an opportunity to do something if they don't wake up for the second half. If they do kick in to life, it'll be a cricket score.

What? It's a big game. Mourinho will always set up to defend, Pep will always have his teams out to dominate. What on earth do you think Mourinho would manage to do with a midfield of fernandinho, B Silva and D Silva? He would have no idea what to do with them and would leave them on the bench like he always leaves Mata. Pep would put Mata in the midfield 3. That's unheard of for Mourinho, though it also wouldnt work for him because he doesnt know how to set them up to play the way Pep does that makes players like Silva in midfield actually work.

I think Mourinho would dominate the league with a bottomless pit of corrupt money. I think the comment you made was lazy. Do you remember his Chelsea side in 2004? It destroyed teams.

How does City get away with fouling so much? It appears to be a major part of their game plan.

I said that in a thread back in august and got all sorts of abuse
Well it's just common sense. They have their strong areas but when it comes to retaining the ball, linking up and creating chances, they're are all shit. Rashford going out of play (yet again in another game) is a typical example of the kinda brainless play he is about

Awful half, frankly. If there was a gameplan there, I saw no sign of it. All the basics were bad and we can be thankful we're only 1-0 down.

Judging from by the commentary you would have thought we were 5-0 down.

City haven’t created much at all. 1 shot on target which was the goal. Keep it tight and try and nick one seems to be the orders today
Keep it tight and try and nick one is our tactic for EVERY team we bloody play, from championship teams to big premier league games, its not good enough. Especially since we can never keep it tight, we concede every game.

Has anyone been asking for him to be dropped? Think his critics (myself included) want him to grow up and show consistency. No one is disputing his talent.

His critics are overly critical, is the point. It’s always what he apparently can’t do and not enough acknowledgement of what he does bring.

This. The goal is on Shaw. Completely ball watching Herrera has been very poor. Martial poor.
Shaw had his back to the cross, he was busy watchin his man and was a second late to react to the ball. though the cross shouldnt have been allowed to come in in thr first place.

    Rubbish.

I don't mind individual errors but our approach to the game is pathetic. Firmly happy seated in City's shadow in Manchester these days it seems.

I'm almost feeling the opposite. I get why Jose has felt unable to go toe-to-toe with City but am tired of us making big errors in our own half, giving balls away and failing to track runners (particularly in wide areas).

Granted it's depressing how far away we are and dropping off and staying compact hardly gets the blood flowing but it's stupid mistakes and an overall lack of composure that's driving me up the wall in this game.

I do not know why some people are having a go at Martial? There is nothing much he can do alone. Lingaard has done nothing and Rashford has been very poor. Only one player is playing on our side. That is Fellaini. He has been everywhere. In reality our players are simply not good enough. You can pick any 11 players better than most of the United squad from any of the PL teams. I feel apart from Pogba and DeGea the rest are simply ordinary players that is the equivalent of the players around the PL.

Bring Mata or Fred or Sanchez or a combination so we can get some quality in midfield to get a decent ball forward. Martial and Rashford look up for it, they just need some support and quality.

The fact we are still in the game bodes well. Standard 2nd half performance hopefully coming

He isn't that good either. We don't have a proper ball player in midfield, there isn't one at the club.

He is better than he is looking and its not entirely his fault though. Matic is getting pulled out wide a bit and when we recover the ball the midfield are all so far away from each other. Herrera is getting more of the ball simply because he's staying more central.

Don't know why Martin Tyler mentions Matic not wearing a poppy but he won't mention the sheer hypocrisy of City wearing a poppy whilst building a dynasity from slavery & human rights breaches. Banter.
