I’ve never seen us 7/1 to win a PL game. Struggling to think of any game where we’ve been at those odds. Maybe vs Pep’s Bayern?
Heard the other day it’s the first time in 34 years or some crazy stat like that.

BTW since lately majority of our goals has come from set pieces, does that mean that the Pulisization of Manchester United is complete?

Last season, when MCFC played us at OT, did they not score both goals through set pieces? They couldn't create good chances in open play. Meanwhile at the other end, we did create chances in open play, which Lukaku could not finish.

Given this, should we not say that MCFC are also a set piece team?

Expect the 6 or 7 at the back masterclass. Aim again will be not to lose. A draw is the best we'll get, imo.

    De Gea
Lingard Young Smalling Lindelof Shaw Martial
    Herrera Matic
    Pogba
    Sanchez
    3-1 City.

Yep, "both" is the key word, I said both as a whole because 180 minutes = 2 games, whilst you focused on the loss we suffered for whatever reason you had to do so. So you consider corners to be chances? I suppose they are a good opportunity to put a ball into a dangerous area but I was referring to more of a clear chances where a player actually has a ball in good position close to opposition goal.

Listen instead of trying to rewrite history, you can just go back and re-watch last season's games, or extended highlights for that matter and see for yourself that the City were a better team in both games, they have created more chances and looked overall more dangerous, whilst we mainly pondered on our half.
How about you watch the highlights?
The game at Of was a borefest. They kept the ball in between goals, threw on a defender for their false 9 and passed about midfield for the entire second half.
    David little to do.
City created very little in the second half at the Etihad.
If set pieces aren't necessarily creating a chance then 3 of their 4 goals from last year came from corners.
I can't post vids of saves or missed chances that do not exist.
Its your point that you're making, I don't see any proof for it.

What about the last game we played against them at the Emptyhad?
The odds of us winning must've been really really low.

Chief football writer at the Independent, Miguel Delaney is reporting that Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku will not be in the starting line-up for today's derby at Manchester City.

The ususl leaker from MEN also didn't include Pogba. Waiting until official line-ups before I have a meltdown though.

True.. Mourinho seems to love Sam Luckhurst and his leaks

We were 7/2 in that game so not really close.

Not sure why. Don’t see us having much better or worse of a chance than I did before that game.

He’s just after tweeting that there is talk JM will leave it to the last min to make a call on his fitness.

    At the hotel

The following players were seen at the hotel. Pogba was reported to have had an injury earlier in the week.

Goalkeepers (3): David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Lee Grant
Defenders (8): Ashley Young, Matteo Darmian, Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw
Midfielders (6): Nemanja Matic, Andreas Pereira, Fred, Scott McTominay, Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini
Forwards (6): Anthony Martial, Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard

    Indecisive Delaney

As usual, Delaney has no idea what is going on but has hedged his bets with Pogba by saying he may or may not play.

Can't decide whether to buy the Pogba 'injury' or not. City will be prepared for us with or without him though, so it doesn't make a huge deal of difference if this is a red herring IMO.

our slim chance of winning today has just reduced even further if Pogba isn’t available.

The loss of Pogba (if/when confirmed) will be felt any way you slice it, but it does gives Fred the opportunity to shine.

    -----Matic----
    Fred -- Herrera

    Might work.

Pogba is maddeningly inconsistent but he is one of the few in our team with the personality to take the game to City. Getting quite irritating how many big games he seems to miss through injuries. I feel as though this is the third Manchester derby he’s out of, for instance.

Hard to see us getting much out of the game.

Looks like it will be Fellaini in place of Pogba.

    ----Matic----
    Fellaini-Herrera

The sheer lack of movement and pace in that midfield is scary, especially when faced with City's midfield.

I think we'll get overrun inside 20 minutes. Just not enough industry to compete, even with Herrera in there.

Without Pogba we'll definitely be playing for a draw.

0-0 is our best bet here, but it ain't happening is it. We'll lose comfortably, 2-0 or so. I won't be too bothered really, I dont consider us to be City's rivals this season at all.

I'd be happy if we don't lose more than 2 goals. There's no way we are getting anything from this game so let's just hope our goal difference don't worsen.

That's the spirit buddy. Fingers crossed for a 2-0 defeat.

4 hrs till kickoff which means I have to wake up in the middle of the night. Hopefully, We'll win.

    not one player from united

Sad bastards. Same people who been tipping City and Liverpool to go unbeaten all season.

City will be beaten during the season. It'll be quite an achievement if they are unbeaten for the full season. St Pep has certainly convinced a lot of people to worship him.
And as for LFC - wait till they play us. Jose Mourinho absolutely hates LFC and it's no surprise that LFC have struggled to score (and win) against us.

    Leaks aplenty

Here's the leaked XI that the MEN have posted on their live feed:

De Gea, Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw, Matic, Herrera, Fellaini, Lingard, Martial, Sanchez

I'd prefer to see Fred start and maybe Rashford or Mata instead of Lingard but if Pogba is out, that XI wouldn't surprise me.
